This Christmas season, I’m feeling very torn between embracing a full festive red and green color palette with my decorating and my wardrobe or going with a softer look with lots of winter pinks and greys and whites. Today’s outfit was inspired by the softer side of winter. You might find it surprising how well pink can pair with red (remember this outfit) and how beautiful pink can look as a holiday red replacement. I love all shades of pink but I particularly adore soft pale blush pinks in the winter as they look so lovely against winter whites and heather greys.

Speaking of heather greys, is there anything more comforting and cozy than a soft heather grey sweater!? I wear a lot of grey in the winter, usually in sweater form. I think grey and navy are my two go-to colors for sweaters (remember this outfit?). Honestly, I can’t get enough of all the fun twists we’ve seen on sweaters this year including the little ruffle bell sleeves on this sweater. My exact sweater is sold out but I found all these gorgeous similar alternatives:
There are some pieces that will never ever go out of style. My mother wears burberry scarves as did her mother. I love my classic Burberry scarf (one of the first really quality pieces I ever got in my closet) and wear it winter after winter. I love investing in pieces like Burberry scarves that are completely versatile, 100% timeless, and not on trend at all. Those are the items in my closet that I love and appreciate the most because trends come and go! It’s still possible to put a fun or modern twist on classic Burberry scarves… you can get creative with how to style them or you can snag one in an unexpected color like pink! I’m absolutely in love with my pink Burberry scarf! I say pink is the way to go! P.S. Burberry scarves are a really beautiful Christmas gift for a very special someone!
These leopard loafers are probably my most worn shoe this fall and I plan to keep wearing them all winter long! You last saw me wear them here and here but you haven’t seen the million other times I’ve slipped them on. These loafers also come in a festive holiday gold. These three leopard loafers are wonderful alternatives (and a little more budget friendly): one, two, three.
I really love the other accessories in this outfit! Edwin knows how much I love Cuyana so he got me with wallet clutch for my last birthday. I use it as a regular wallet, carry it as a clutch, and use it for travel. It’s PERFECT for travel because it has a spot for travel documents and a spot for your passport. I also love this more traditional zip wallet from Cuyana and this dressy clutch. They all come in multiple colors too! Hats are a staple for me but I usually wear a wide brim hat. This grey fedora is a fun change for me.
