Everyone in Charleston is out and about basking in the beautiful spring weather we’re having! My sister, Sarah, and I are no exception. The other night, we decided to enjoy the gorgeous warm evening with a little wine and cheese picnic in the park. Hampton Park is one of my favorite spots in downtown Charleston because it is so quite and blooms every single month of the year!
This time of year, we get to admire the colorful pink, purple, magenta, and red azaleas that are showing off like crazy around the park and the city. Sarah and I assembled our cheese board at home (using some cheese we bought at Goat Sheep Cow) before wrapping it up to go with some fresh crusty bread from The Daily and a few bottle of my new go-to wine, Simple Life Wines. Voilà , it was a perfect spring evening in Charleston!

A wine and cheese picnic in the park might seem impractical but it is really so easy to pull off that I include it as a MUST-DO spring activity. I was first attracted to Simple Life Wines when I saw the bottles in the store… they depict two people sitting on a bench enjoying a bottle of wine, aka enjoying the simple things in life!
Some of my favorite pastimes are life’s little pleasures like having a picnic, going for a walk, or admiring blooming flowers so I grabbed a bottle of Simple Life Wines and have been drinking it ever since. Since it’s spring, I’ve been enjoying the rosé and the chardonnay but my dad loves the pinot noir year round.
Our picnic blanket is actually an old John Robshaw quilt that I had in my closet and our picnic basket was a leftover basket from an event my mom hosted so Sarah and I scooped it up. I’m absolutely in love with this picnic basket and this monogrammed cheese board (also love this one). I always say yes to a monogram! Don’t forget cheese knives.
I’m still dying over how adorable Sarah’s gingham set is (and its great price!). I love the smocked top and the blue and white color combo is right up my alley. It’s so cute that I might have to borrow it this spring or summer. Sarah’s purse is also the absolute cutest basket bag (it also comes in pink!). I’m a huge Hart Haggerty earring lover (as seen here) so I’m swooning over Sarah’s blue topknot tassel earrings too. My, oh my! Snag Sarah’s springtime look here:
There’s no if, ands, or buts about it, I wear a ton of blue and white. This dress is a special piece but I also found several similar styles for less below. My sandals are an old color of the classic Joie slides but I love the new colors equally as much. Lastly, I’ve been carrying this bag on repeat (last seen here and here). Scoop up my look here:
