Last Tuesday night, we evacuated from Charleston to Atlanta to escape hurricane Florence. As I mentioned yesterday, it was a tough choice and we weren’t too happy about it but we decided to comply with the mandatory evacuation order. We finally made it safely back to Charleston yesterday afternoon and we’re sooooooo happy to be home! I thought it would be fun to share what we did during our evacuation to Atlanta with y’all since we were there for so long so keep reading for our itinerary and for scoop on what I wore.

Floral Midi Dress
I slipped into the loveliest pink and green floral midi dress for a full day out and about in Atlanta. Honestly, I love the way this dress flutters when I walk! I feel so feminine when I wear it. Plus, pink and green is one of my favorite color combos! I belted the dress to give it a little cinching at the waist but it’s adorable without a belt as well. In addition, I decided to embrace autumn (ready for you!) with my accessories by adding on a suede purse, deep green tassel earrings, and cranberry colored espadrilles. I think espadrilles can be completely appropriate in the fall and winter when worn in the right color! Also, aren’t Hart Hagerty’s new fall earring colors to die for!?
One of my favorite things to do in Atlanta is to visit the Atlanta History Center and to see the Swan House. My grandmother took us when we were growing up so it always reminds me of her. Edwin had never been before so I was anxious for him to see it! Edwin indulges me all the time and goes along with it when I drag him around to different history tours, historical houses, and museums. He’s a great sport and, luckily, he enjoys it! We shot all these photos in and around the Swan House!
In addition to sneaking in a little history between working, we also enjoyed some delicious meals out at night and on the weekend.
Here’s where we ate:
Gunshow, Leon’s Full Service, The Iberian Pig, S.O.S. Tiki Bar (we went for drinks, not food), Muchacho, and Hampton and Hudson (to watch football & have dinner). I would highly recommend all of these spots in Atlanta! A few other restaurants on our lists that we didn’t make it to included: Cape Dutch, A Mano, Golden Eagle, Watchman’s, Cooks and Soldiers, The Optimist, and Holeman and Finch. There are so many great restaurants in Atlanta but my sister definitely helped guide us!
P.S. If you go to the Atlanta History Center, then you get tickets to the Margaret Mitchell House too!
I have my eye on a few other ladylike dresses from the same brand as my dress, Lovelee, including these three: one, two, three. Aren’t they all swoon-worthy!?
