Hello loves!
It’s been such a busy week but I didn’t want the week to go by without sharing some exciting news from Monday. A favorite brand of mine, ChappyWrap, relaunched on June 3rd with a brand spanking new website and new branding! Back in May, leading up to their relaunch, I was fortunate enough to get to celebrate with the brand on beautiful Kiawah Island at a ChappyWrap brand immersion day cohosted by my girlfriend Kristin (as seen in this post).
I already loved the story behind ChappyWrap but I really truly fell in love with the blankets when I got to know the mother-daughter duo behind the brand, Beth and Christina, and hear them tell their story (keep reading for an adorable photo of them!). I love spreading the world about my favorite products and brands. So this post is just that… not sponsored, just love!
ChappyWrap’s mission is simple: provide comfort to everyone, everywhere with the best blankets in the world. The blankets are the softest, coziest, cutest, and most versatile blankets in the game! Whether I’m dressing up our home, cozying up with our pup, or heading to the beach, ChappyWrap blankets are what I’m snuggling up in this summer!
P.S. Remember this post from last fall feat. ChappyWrap?
ChappyWrap Blankets: Born in New England, Made for Anywhere
As I mentioned above, ChappyWrap was founded by mother-daughter team, Beth and Christina, in New England. Chappaquiddick—or “Chappy,” to locals. It is a special place on Martha’s Vineyard that holds a very dear place in the hearts of Beth and Christina’s family members. They consider it a sanctuary of all things beauty and nature and it serves as a place of connection for their family. When the brand was founded in 2006, the ChappyWrap offices were a short ferry away from Chappy. Since Chappy is such a memorable place for them, they decided to name their blanket line after the destination in hopes that their blankets help connect people and help people make their own special memories.
While still based in New England, the family now escapes down to Charleston whenever they can in the winter too. So, ChappyWrap’s rebranded logo is a mix of their New England roots and a nod to their newfound love of Charleston (do you see the connection to the South Carolina flag in the logo!?).
ChappyWrap x Color by K
My girlfriend Kristin of Color by K is seriously so talented! She has an entertaining branch of her business, appropriately name Entertain by K, which allows her to flex her creative muscles to design the most beautiful events. She has such an eye and a clear passion for it! I’m so inspired by everything she creates. I can’t think of anyone more perfect than Kristin to partner with ChappyWrap to cohost their special brand immersion day!
The event was hosted at ChappyWrap co-owner Beth’s gorgeous home on Kiawah Island. We had our makeup done, dined on a delicious New England inspired lunch by Chef Ross Webb from R Kitchen (lobster rolls were involved!), relaxed poolside, went to the beach, snapped tons of beautiful photos, learned so much about ChappyWrap, and enjoyed time together. The group of women was incredible including Beth and Christina of ChappyWrap, co-host Kristin of Color by K, photographer Julia Dags, PR whiz Beth Conkey, Chassity, Megan, Ashley, Megan, Liz, and Kenzie + Carol. ChappyWrap encourages their shoppers to ‘Be Chappy’ and that we were!
What Makes ChappyWrap Blankets So Special
ChappyWrap blankets have the most endearing story behind them that I think we can all relate to. Years ago, Beth and Christina’s family had a family blanket. It was an extra large, snuggly, reversible, cotton-blend blanket that made every member of the family feel better when under the weather. When they cozied up in it, they were immediately comforted! Overtime, you can imagine that it became quite the family heirloom so they searched for similar blankets; however, they couldn’t find one! No blanket they found had the same comfort and quality as the original so they set out to make their own!
They were successful! ChappyWrap blankets aren’t made of synthetic fibers like polyester or polar fleece. Instead, they are made of the highest-quality plush, natural-cotton blend and high-performance fibers in a factory renowned for their heirloom-quality products. The result is clear the moment you snuggle up with a ChappyWrap! As Beth and Christina say, when you have a ChappyWrap, no matter where you are; you’re home.
What I’m Snuggling Up In This Summer
There are so many adorable ChappyWrap designs to choose from but I wanted to share my favorites. Here’s what I’m snuggling up in this summer! At the ChappyWrap brand immersion day, we were lucky enough to all leave with a ‘Oyster Cove’ blanket. I keep this blanket at my desk chair so I’m always cozy when I work and soothed by the camel color. I also ordered the ‘Hydrangea’ blanket because y’all know how much I love hydrangeas. It is so happy and summery! I’ll be taking this blanket to the beach all summer long. I’m also completely smitten with these lovely designs: ‘Brant Point Blues,’ ‘Herring Run,’ ‘Lobster Shack,’ and ‘Seashells.’ Which design is your favorite!? Did you know Chappy also has toddler + kid blankets as well as mini stroller blankets.
P.S. It’s a breeze to wash ChappyWraps (aka – bring them to the beach, on picnics, the works!). All you do is machine wash cold on gentle cycle and then tumble dry on low heat.
I’m wearing the cutest blue and white dress ever! The amount of compliments I’ve received on this dress are seriously endless! Snag the print here:
