Last week, I had the immense pleasure of visiting Nantucket to stay at my girlfriend Meredith’s house in Sconset with my friends Sara, Kristin, and Andrea. I wanted to share what I wore on Nantucket summer 2020 in today’s post. Hint: I essentially only wore dresses! I didn’t buy any maternity jeans because my belly is really bumping during the summer with this pregnancy so I didn’t think they were necessary. As such, I’ve been living in dresses with the occasional denim jacket or sweater (neither of which are necessary in Charleston though!) thrown over my shoulders. If you’re in the mood for dresses or just want to see some photos set against gorgeous Nantucket beaches and flowers, then keep scrolling for a little fun.

What I Wore On Nantucket Summer 2020

Midi Dresses with Denim Jackets
A midi is my preferred dress length so I had fun searching for a few for this post. I’m wearing the sweetest off the shoulder pink stripe dress with a waist tie (since I don’t really have a waist right now, I tied the tie in a bow above my bump) from a brand I recently discovered and have since become obsessed with, Mii (more Mii here). My dress also comes in green and white stripes as well as blue and white stripes so there is a color combo for everyone. I styled the dress with my timeless J.Crew denim jacket and the chic, easy, affordable braided slides I’ve been wearing all summer long. This dress is a WINNER!

Flowy Floral Dresses
I shared this dress on Sunday in my Weekend Reads post from the week but it’s popping up here too (P.S. I’m wearing a mask, which is what you can kind of see on my face in the photo on the right). This gorgeous twirl-approved pink floral dress is technically a maternity dress but that’s really just because it is cinched under the chest area instead of the waist area. So, I will absolutely keep wearing it after I’m pregnant and would recommend it for both pregnant women and women who aren’t expecting. The material is so soft and comfortable. I find myself reaching for this dress constantly this summer! I wore it for a walk around Sconset with the cutest bow sandals that are a lasting favorite of mine.

Blue and White Dresses
When am I ever not packing a blue and white dress!? It should come as no surprise that when I packed and then wrote this post, what I wore on Nantucket summer 2020, that a blue and white dress would be included. Blue and white stripes and florals being my go-tos! This dress is multiple years old (first seen here on the Santa Monica pier) but still one of my favorites to throw on. I rounded up a few handfuls of other great blue and white dresses available now that just scream summer. These photos were snapped one day on a long neighborhood walk so I styled this dress with my Veja sneakers for ease and comfort.

Fresh Coastal Colors
Nantucket is the most magical little island for so many reasons. I love that no matter where you are on the island, you’re never far from the water. So, I often opt for a suitcase full of fresh coastal colors. Clearly, I’m not alone as our whole little group gravitated toward cool blues, teals, and whites for an evening spent watching the sunset on Madaket beach. I wore the most adorable flowy stripe dress (great for my growing bump!) from a recent summer collaboration between a brand I love dearly, Sail to Sable, and a blogger who I’m lucky to count as a friend, Jennifer Lake. The whole collection is to die for! The collection comes in an extended size range of XXS – 3X. And a portion of all sales go to Feeding America to aid in hunger relief! Well done ladies!
