I wore this toile dress out for a day of lunching, shopping, and errands with my mom and, I’m not kidding, I got more compliments on it than on anything else I’ve ever worn before in my life. My mom and I joked that if I had $10 for every person that complimented it while we walked down King Street in Charleston that I’d be rich at the end of the day! So, I knew I had to shoot in the toile dress in Hampton Park with Allison.

The silhouette of this toile Roberta Roller Rabbit dress is one of the reasons why I’m involved in such a love affair with it (more Roberta Roller Rabbit here and here). The fit and flare style complements me so well so I always gravitate toward it. I also love that it hits right below my knees so it’s a super ladylike look. The pleats in the dress make it the perfect dress to twirl around in or to sprawl out in for a picnic in the park. Y’all know I’m a blue and white lover at heart too and toile just so happens to be one of my favorite prints… hence the reason why my heart went a flutter when I saw this dress. Unfortunately, it’s sold out but I knew it might be even when I shot the dress. I was so determined to shoot it anyway because I love it so and wanted a reason to hunt for similar styles for you to get the look too. I found a handful of similar toile pieces so you’re in luck – one, two, three, four, five, six!
In going with my picnic in the park look, I styled my toile dress in Hampton Park with my favorite MDS Stripes picnic basket purse (also love this purse). I tied a navy and white scarf that I got at Club Monaco last summer on it to mix blues and whites for an extra dose of outfit interest. My scarf is sold out but I love this similar scarf! I stepped into my über comfy platform sandals (similar for less) and tossed on a pop of color with my pom dangle earrings. Voilà, outfit complete!
Lace dresses like Allison’s dress (under $75!) are popping up everywhere because they are so timeless. I particularly love the scalloped hem of Allison’s dress and the fit and flare silhouette that is so flattering on her as well. She styled her dress with two splurge-worthy wardrobe staples: her blush pink Chloé purse and her studded Valentino heels. Both pieces are so beautiful that I swoon when I’m around them, ha I seriously do! Allison’s tassel earrings give her look a perfect hint of youthful cheer too for a well-rounded look.
