Just in time for the weekend, this watermelon agua fresca recipe is the most refreshing drink of the summer! I’ve been craving fruit so much throughout my pregnancy so I’ve been whipping up this easy fruit-forward beverage a lot since the temperatures started to rise. Drinking this homemade aqua fresca just might be my favorite way to stay cool this summer! So, I wanted to share it with y’all. It only have 3 simple ingredients (4 if you want to add alcohol) and two ingredients for garnish. The best part is that it can be made in a flash. It is perfect to serve while entertaining your family this summer or to make for yourself as you wind down from a busy day.
I’m not sure if I’m the only one who thinks this but there are days when it feels like this summer has been taken away by the Covid-19 pandemic. I’ve honestly searched high and low for ways to keep our moods up and for ways to create the joyful spirit of summer while at home. One such idea was to try making my own non-alcoholic agua fresca. Turns out it has been a hit at our house and 100% helps us squeeze the sunshine out of our summer days! Keep reading for the incredibly easy recipe to make your own watermelon agua fresca at home.

Watermelon Agua Fresca Entertaining Essentials
In addition to the watermelon agua fresca ingredients, here’s what else you’ll need to whip up this beverage. It’s not much so you’re in luck! The one kitchen appliance you need is a blender otherwise you just need a pretty carafe and glasses. I fell in love with Kate Spade’s ‘Park Circle’ home line this summer, which includes the gorgeous rose tinted carafe I’m using in these photos and the practical yet cute glasses in this post. The line also has an amazing rose tinted cocktail shaker and ice bucket to complete your barware. That is honestly it! I’ve been referencing this recipe so much so I have it written down in this pretty floral notebook for easy access too.
Last but not least, your happy hour outfit!
If you want to make this watermelon agua fresca while celebrating the happiest hour of the day at home this weekend, then I suggest slipping into a breezy summer dress to keep the mood fun and summer festive. I’m wearing my favorite floral dress of the summer (not maternity but bump friendly!). I love that it can be worn on the shoulder, off the shoulder, or to show one shoulder. The pretty print also comes in a short dress and a flutter sleeve top. I topped my recent happy hour look off with a pair of dainty floral drop earrings and a pair of chic raffia sandals that can be easily kicked on and off when this pregnancy starts to wear me down at the end of the day (they also come in a punchy coral color). Ta-da, it’s happy hour time!

I hope this post gave you some inspiration to bring a little joy into your house this weekend by making this delicious and easy-to-whip-up watermelon agua fresca drink. Go ahead and kick off your shoes and enjoy the summer weekend! Cheers!
