Navy is one of the most versatile colors you can have in your wardrobe. This dress is a perfect example of that! I styled it with a black leather jacket (old – similar) for a more winter appropriate look but can just as easily slip the jacket off and have a springtime ready dress. Navy is perfect as a black alternative or as a compliment to black in the fall and winter but is a great stand-alone color in the spring and summer. Navy also pairs perfectly with white for a more nautical warm-weather look. As you can see, this dress is perfect year round! Cue me falling in love with it when I saw it in my favorite Charleston boutique, Hampden, and immediately declaring that it will be the navy dress I’ll wear all spring!

Since it’s still February, when styling this dress (also comes in plum, a short dress, and a top), I added a black leather jacket on top to give me the little bit of warmth that is still necessary for Charleston nights. My jacket is a handful of years old but I found a few similar styles here: one, two, three, four. However, spring is in sight so I’m already picturing myself wearing this dress jacketless when the weather permanently warms up. The floral print makes it a perfect choice for spring and summer! I’m going to an engagement party next month and thinking I might even wear this dress. So I told y’all, it’s the navy dress I’ll wear all spring!
How dreamy are these blue bow heels!? I think they are my favorite purchase of 2018! I shared a sneak peak of my love for shoe designer, Alexandre Birman, in this snap of my other swoon-worthy spring shoes but I’m excited to share a bit more. If I had to choose, I’d describe myself as more of a purse lover than a shoe lover but every now and then a shoe, shoe style, shoe collection, or shoe designer comes along that rocks my world! That’s how I feel about these beautiful heeled sandals! Any chance to add a bow and I’m sold. Plus, the chunky heel makes them so comfortable. The blue color will work with everything from white jeans to dresses and solids to florals. Don’t miss these other beautiful shoes:
Have y’all picked up on my obsession with Hart Earrings yet!? I’ve previously worn them on R&R here and here but I also always wear them sometime every week around Charleston or on my travels. I have 4 different pairs! I adore these navy earrings as they go with everything in my closet! They are surprisingly lightweight so I can wear them all day without feeling weighed down. If you want to add a new accessory to your spring wardrobe, I think they are 100% the item to pick!
Spring is in the air. Which means that straw, wicker, and raffia purses will be in my hand nonstop in just a matter of days. I last carried this clutch on R&R here but expect to see me wearing it lots more in the warm, balmy months to come. You might be surprised to learn that I got this clutch in high school from Kate Spade. It’s such a classic that I still wear it! Also, here are a few more similar styles I’m crushing on right now:
