The Faux Fur Coat

I had to share the faux fur coat I’m in love with with y’all because, after only having it for a few weeks, I already think it is such a special piece! This snow leopard print faux fur coat (also available here – similar for less, similar for less) is so incredibly soft, that I find myself reaching for it day after day and night after night. I think the lighter animal print is fun and a refreshing change from often darker hued animal prints.

The crop style of the jacket is perfect! It hits beautifully with jeans, trousers, and skirts and looks so smart worn over a dress. I think faux fur is one of the warmest layers to have so I can’t get enough of this coat now that temperatures in Charleston have dropped. Arguably the best part of this faux fur coat is that it is 50% off today for Cyber Monday! If you take away one thing from Cyber Monday, let it be this coat!

This outfit is really all bout texture and material.

Why? Because I’m wearing faux fur, velvet, suede, and denim all in the same outfit but it works! I love wearing different materials and embracing different seasons through my wardrobe choices. This outfit is a perfect example of this. I styled the loveliest rich velvet top (similar for less) underneath my faux fur coat, which I think compliments the coat super well. The black is a beautiful contrast to the snow leopard print. I’ve always been a velvet lover but I was truly first drawn to this top because of the square neckline. It creates such an eye-catching face-framing effect that is just gorgeous! I love the fitted silhouette that the smocking on the inner arms and sides of the top creates too. Who knew a black top could be so interesting!?

It’s that time of year again… over the knee boots season! My Stuart Weitzman suede over the knee boots are absolutely a style splurge but I promise you that they are one that will pay off over time. The boots are such amazing quality and the look will never go out of style. I’ve worn mine hundreds of times over the years so they’ve definitely paid for themselves by now. You’ve seen me wear them dozens of times on R&R including here, here, here, and here.
