The Best Items I Bought on Amazon in 2021 for the Home

I know I’m very much not the only blogger to write this type of post at the start of the new year but I’m actually fascinated by what people buy on Amazon and what everyday items make people’s lives easier throughout the year. So, I did a deep dive into all of our Amazon purchases from 2021 and created 3 lists that I’m turning into blog posts that I will publish throughout this week:

The Best Items I Bought on Amazon in 2021 for the Home

My best of Amazon roundup posts this week consist of products we use every day or incredibly frequently that I think you would love or find useful as well. These lists are highly curated and paired down. You won’t find any random jewelry box I just discovered and think is cute, any random Amazon fashion brand of sweaters/dresses/kids clothes etc., or any random home items we don’t actually have like frames or straw baskets. Every single item is a must-have in the Eversole household. My roundup of the best items I bought on Amazon in 2021 for the home consists of 16 items we find incredibly useful.

My roundup of the best items I bought on Amazon in 2021 for me consists of only 12 items I love/wear/use. Because I don’t want to try to sell you on Amazon items that just collect dust in your house. My roundup of the best items I bought on Amazon in 2021 for babies is the longest post and consists of 28 items. Let’s face it, there is a lot of gear, gadgets, and items that come along with having a baby. And that makes the first baby year of life easier. Amazon sure does make having a baby easier! FYI, for other items I swear by for babies, see my post on baby registry essentials! With that said, here’s my roundup of the best items I bought on Amazon in 2021 for the home. Stay tuned for my other two Amazon posts later this week!

Reward Style Loads

1. Glass Food Storage Containers:

I’m obsessed with our glass food storage containers. Glass really is the only way to go over plastic or disposable ziplock bags in this department. In fact, I use these 365 days a year for meal prep, leftovers, etc.

2. Crease Release:

How do people live without this product? I don’t know! This Crease Release eliminates wrinkles without the use of an iron – just spray onto your items and boom, you’re done.

3. Chip Clips:

I love these chip/bag clips because they don’t take up a ton of real estate in my kitchen drawers when they aren’t in use. They are durable and long-lasting for your pantry, home, or office. Plus, the blue colors are so lovely.

4. Zip Top Reusable 100% Silicone Food Storage Bags:

These come in a range of sizes and colors so you can get a set that fits your needs the best. I really love them as an alternative to disposable ziplock bags + they are made of 100% pure non-toxic platinum silicone. And are also completely free of BPA, lead, PVC, latex, and phthalates. They also won’t leach harmful chemicals like plastics can. The stand up, stay open, zip shut, and are also dishwasher safe!

5. Dog Poop Bags:

With two large labradors in our house, these poop bags are always on order! They are thick and totally leakproof. We couldn’t live without them.

6. Breathable Under Bed Storage Bags:

These are the storage bags we have under our beds in our house. In addition, they are made of breathable nonwoven fabric that allows air to circulate inside, keeping stored items fresh. They have a sturdy side wall so they don’t collapse and are easy to pull out from under the bed. We also use them for storing clothes, comforters, blankets, quilts, bedding, my maternity clothing that I don’t need right now etc.

7. Aluminum Foil Pans with Lids:

These might seem random but I use them for a very specific purpose. I also use them to cook food or meals for friends who have just had a baby or are in need of a little love/assistance. They are the best because they are super easy to deliver food in and friends don’t then have the hassle of having to return anything to me.

8. Reusable Glass Drinking Straws:

I’m so obsessed with these! I first bought them when I was suffering from horrible hormonal headaches while pregnant with Rowan and I couldn’t drink water fast enough. I have never stopped using them because they are amazing! If you want to up your water intake this year, then add these to your Amazon cart.

9. Stainless Steel Sponges:

These are just a kitchen must-have that we replace as needed. There is a time and place when a regular sponge won’t do the trick and then these are a lifesaver to have on hand.

10. Slice Box Cutter:

My obsession with this box cutter runs DEEP. In fact, I use it every day we receive a package, which is honestly most days. It lives in a drawer with our scissors etc. but I can’t really explain it, it is just better than scissors at cutting open boxes. A really great product that I can’t recommend enough!

11. Tissue Paper:

I always have tissue paper and gift boxes (see below) on hand to wrap gifts year-round in our house. It is also one of those products where I’m amazed at how convenient it is to have classic white tissue paper on the ready.

12. White Gift Box Set:

Along with tissue paper, I always have a mixed size set of white gift boxes on hand at our house. I use them at least every month for someone’s birthday, shower, or party!

13. Silicone Loaf Pan:

My sister-in-law turned me onto this Trudeau line of bakeware claiming it was simply the best. Well, she was not wrong! I’ve replace our metal bakeware with these silicone bakeware products and I just love them! Why I love this product SO much: it has the easiest release, it is BPA free, it is safe in the oven + microwave + dishwasher + freezer, and it is incredibly easy to clean (I never need to put it in the dishwasher).

14. Silicone Mini Muffin Pan:

I couldn’t live without this silicone mini muffin pan for all the same reasons I love the silicone loaf pan above (read that description). For Rowan and his little friends, this mini muffin size pan is key (ex: his preschool requests all birthday snacks be mini etc). I also bought the regular size silicone muffin pan in 2021 and love it too.

15. Clean Liquid Dish Soap:

Anything but clean/green dish soap freaks me out. The Seventh Generation plant-based formula soap dish liquid fights grease and powers through tough, dried-on food and I know I can count on the brand to not bring harmful chemicals into my house. It is always on order in our house.

16. Clean Laundry Detergent:

As with dish soap, I can’t stand the idea of using heavy chemical products on the laundry in our house especially when it is so easy to buy Seventh Generation products on Amazon. This powerful triple-enzyme formula fights tough stains + it is free & clear, hypoallergenic, and made for sensitive skin (i.e. kiddos).
