Summer Essentials on the Santa Monica Pier

Summer Essentials on the Santa Monica Pier

filed under:

You heard it here first, summer has arrived! Southern California has been warm and I’m loving it (fingers crossed it stays that way because it’s supposed to be cloudy this weekend, woof!). Just last week, I was bopping around with Allison and Jessi. We went for a walk on the beach and walked along the Santa Monica Pier for some sunset views. I wore an outfit that is pretty much my uniform this time of year: blue and white stripes. Keep reading to snag my summer essentials on the Santa Monica Pier look for an effortless summer wardrobe.

Is there anything that says summer more than blue and white nautical stripes? I don’t think so! I love that this dress is a little extra special as the stripes are different and surprising in size. The dress is a great price and very soft and comfortable too. It’s the kind of dress that I’ll throw on all summer long as I head out the door to lunch, the beach (for one of the Santa Monica Pier Concerts), or a summer BBQ like the one my parents are throwing this weekend.

I’ve been wearing Jack Rogers for as long as I can remember. Jack Rogers epitomize summer style in a shoe (100% a summer essential!)! I scooped up this blue and white pair three summers ago at the East Hampton store. It’s the cutest little shop! The two strap ‘Lauren’ style is my absolute favorite. They are available in a different blue and white color combo, tan, pale pink, white, gold, and in a few color block combos.

How Americana is this straw tote bag!? I fell in love with it last summer and I still love it now! No surprise really because straw bags are just about the #1 summer essential. It hasn’t been rereleased in the exact same color combination yet this year but it is newly out in a handful of other similar and fun colors here:

Statement earrings, I adore you! These white baubles from Tuckernuck are sold out but they have seven similar pairs available right now: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Ray-Ban Clubmasters are the ultimate summer sunglass style. They are timeless and never go out of style!
