Suede Skirt On Fifth Avenue on Rhyme & Reason

Suede Skirt On Fifth Avenue

filed under:

In the winter months, it can be so hard to not fall back on jeans as the go-to bottom to wear. I’ve been making a conscious effort to wear more skirts and dresses lately because I have some great options for winter and because I get tired of wearing the same old look over and over again. If it’s cold out, then there’s always the simple solution of wearing tights or over the knee boots (similar) to keep yourself a little more covered up from the chilly air. So, even when it was cold in New York City, I wore a suede skirt on Fifth Avenue for an afternoon of walking around to see the holiday window displays, sipping hot cocoa at Ralph’s, and taking in the Christmas trees at all the decorated hotels.

I absolutely love this suede skirt! I love the rich chocolately color, the pockets, and the small slit in it because I think it makes the hemline so much more interesting. It runs true to size and is super comfortable. I think the skirt looks great with over the knee boots (similar, more similar options below) or would be super cute with bare legs or tights and booties. I also linked a handful of other similar suede skirts at various price points (and my same skirt at different retailers) so you’ll be sure to find one you love!

These suede over the knee boots are my go-to shoes for dressing up an outfit without wearing heels. If you prefer adding on a little height then you’re in luck because they also come in a heeled version. The Stuart Weitzman version are the best splurge-worthy version out there but there are so many other options available that you don’t have to break the bank. I personally love these three lookalikes: one, two, three.

Every girl needs a basic white silk top in their closet to wear with skirts, jeans, and under jackets and blazers. Equipment is my usual one-stop-shop for silk tops but the one I’m wearing here is actually really old from a small boutique in Charleston. I did my best to dig around for a similar top and ended up finding some other great white silk top options below.
