Step into Spring in this Dress

filed under:

Who else is ready to say goodbye to February and welcome March with open arms?! I know I am! In Charleston, we’ve had a dozen or so beautiful spring days sprinkled in amongst some dreary winter weather and, let me tell you, they have me so ready to spring forward. My mind has already moved completely into spring mode so it’s time for my wardrobe to as well. If you’re with me, then keep reading to step into spring in this dress. It’s impossible to resist the bright, happy, drip drop pattern of this Persifor wrap dress. It’s everything!

Step into Spring in this Dress

Come February, I tend to get overly excited to trade in the dark tones and layers that make up my winter wardrobe for colorful pieces that allow me to get a little vitamin D. When I get this itch, I get incredibly inspired by all things spring – flowers, sunshine, bright + pastel colors, dresses, rebirth etc. I tend to kind of give my closet a rebirth, if you will, when I switch it over and add in a few new pieces from some of my favorite resort wear brands.

This drip drop print dress has breathed new life into my closet this month and I know it will continue to do so all through spring and summer! It’s by one of my favorite brands to wear this time of year, Persifor. To me, Persifor is such happy, positive, and empowering brand. Every time I slip into a Persifor piece, I feel like a million bucks!

Y’all have seen me wear Persifor a bunch on Rhyme & Reason (as seen here, here, and here) and don’t expect that to change anytime soon. When I love a brand, I always go back to it! I had previously never worn a wrap dress by Persifor though so I was anxious to try one. I think wrap dresses are so flattering because they chinch the waist giving off an elongating effect, which this dress does beautifully!

Sometimes wrap dresses can be tricky because they fail to stay in place and lie flat; however, this wrap dress has enough structure to it that it fits beautifully and doesn’t gap/hang around my chest. For me, that’s a major win! At the end of the day, I just die over the bright coral color of the spotty dotty print. Polka dots have definitely been having a moment the last year, which is why I fell for this unique drip drop take on the polka dot. So cute!

Persifor has really been hitting it out of the park with its spring collection so far! I’m completely drawn in by the rich coral, pink, aqua, and green colors of the collection. Not to mention, the ‘Flowers’ print is wildly fun! Other than my wrap dress, my other favorite dress is hands down the Poppy Dress in Gingham Plaid. Here are a few other favorites:

Never one to shy away from statement earrings, I added a pair to this spring outfit. However, I opted for a natural wood pair of earrings (sold out – similar, similar) to tie in my natural straw clutch and to let the dress do all the talking!

I really wanted to emphasize the gorgeous coral color of the print on the dress, so I slipped into a pair of pink shoes to complement the coral. Pink and coral might be an unexpected color combo but I think they go beautifully together… more is more here I say!
