I love classic neutral sweaters but there is something fun about mixing things up with statement sweaters for winter! I just love the colors in this cozy stripe sweater from J.Crew. Somehow J.Crew makes a mix of pastels, brights, and neutrals work! This sweater is oh so snuggly and comfortable. It’s the perfect way to brighten up your winter wardrobe and to keep your wardrobe from feeling too drab. Plus, I think wearing color in the winter helps beat the winter blues. When I put on something bright and happy, then I honestly feel bright and happy. It’s amazing how getting dressed and put together in the morning can change your whole day around! Statement Sweaters for Winter
Bold stripes are in this year. This sweater is my first real embrace of the trend but I’m a forever stripe lover so it feels natural. I rounded up a dozen or so other statements sweaters for winter that include beautiful stripes, festive fair isle, bright colors, and more. I particularly adore this polka dot sweater, this Christmas red sweater, these two fair isle sweaters (one, two), and this lovely pink sweater.
Cargo pants get a reputation for being a tomboy loo. But I think they can just was easily be styled in a feminine way as they can be in a sporty way. I paired my cargo pants with a beautiful bright pair of loafers, a pale pink purse, a pearl necklace, and a hair bow (more hair bows here) to give my look a girly flare. I love a great pair of cargo pants because they are so comfortable to wear all day long. Also, they are an all around timeless basic that you will never not reach for. Depending on how nice your office dress code is, cargo pants are a perfect workwear piece to have on hand!

Are y’all familiar with Thelma Loafers?
If not, you should definitely get acquainted! I absolutely go weak in the knees for the beautiful high quality structure of the penny loafers and all the gorgeous colors they come in. I’m so lucky to know the owner and designer of Thelma because she is as sweet as can be! You can also see my velvet hair bow peeking out in a few colors. It is from last year but it’s a favorite again this year (last seen here). There are more fun hair bows here that are not to be missed.
