A roundup of what to wear in September on Rhyme & Reason

September Edit

filed under:

September is here! This month is all about transitional dressing and loading up on pre-fall must-haves. Look no further than my September Edit for a complete guide of what to shop for (stay tuned for more pre-fall and fall edits to come including what to wear to a fall wedding!). Transitional dressing can be tricky so I suggest buying pieces like midi dresses that you can layer on top of with a light jacket, as well as medium weight sweaters, closed toe shoes, and your first fall accessories like a new windowpane scarf. Longer sleeved tops like this gingham top are perfect to wear with a great pair of jeans too. Add an earring to this look and you’ve got an easy look that can transition from day to night. September is also the time to buy a few warmer pieces that you know you’ll wear through autumn and into winter before they sell out like this field jacket and these saltwater boots (I also love these two color combos: one, two). Lastly, how adorable are the bow details on this pink sweater and this white sweater!? Happy September shopping loves!
