Nothing can prepare you for saying your vows in front of your family and closest friends! Looking back, I think I felt calm and full of love for Edwin. Our ceremony started late because of a massive afternoon thunderstorm (you can see how dark our photos got + the use of a flash at the end of this post!), so there were a bit of nerves around getting married before the sunset faded into the night sky.
Spoiler alert, we barely made it in time! I felt the Lord all around us during our ceremony from the first step I took down the aisle with my dad to our minister pronouncing us husband and wife. I feel so blessed to call Edwin mine and to have proclaimed my love in front of my favorite people in the world. What an indescribable joy!

P.S. you can browse more Wedding Wednesday posts here and be sure to stay tuned for my two final posts! Thanks so much for all your love and support and for reading R&R! xx
P.S.S. Happy birthday to my incredibly sweet, talented, smart, funny, loyal, loving, and passionate husband! I love you today and everyday!
While we opted not to get married in a church, it was very important to me to be married by a minister and to have a religious ceremony. Our ceremony was very traditional as we both knew we wanted to say traditional vows. We also included some family in the ceremony by having my uncle and Edwin’s sister both do beautiful readings. The whole wedding ceremony was about 20 minutes and perfect to us in every way (neither of us wanted a long drawn out ceremony)!
