Designer Rebecca Taylor has a lovely family home nestled on New York’s Shelter Island (think, right off the coast of the Hamptons). I love her low-key, eclectic decorating style. To me, it represents a break from the hectic lifestyles of nearby New York City. Rebecca reports that she decorated her beach house in a way that would make her feel transported to her native New Zealand. Her home screams family and summer, which are quite possible my two favorite things… so, what’s not to love!?
My interior decorating tends to be very inspired by nautical elements so I can pull a lot of inspiration from the relaxed, beachy decor of Rebecca Taylor’s beach house. I get asked where I shop online for home decor (I recently gave my bed a facelift with new pillows based on this inspiration). Here’s my rundown – my main online home shopping destinations include: One King’s Lane, Lulu & Georgia, Serena & Lily, Mark and Graham, Pottery Barn, Design Darling, Layla Grayce, and Katie Kime.
Pssst! Keep an eye out for an upcoming outfit post featuring Rebecca Taylor.
