Pops of Pink in Charleston on Rhyme & Reason

Pops of Pink in Charleston

filed under:

On my trip earlier this summer, there were pops of pink in Charleston everywhere because the Crepe Myrtle trees were in full bloom. It was truly magical (especially as a pink lover!)! Every morning, I couldn’t wait to start my day with a walk outside before the temperatures rose so I could see all the shades of pink around the city. I decided to blend in by wearing a bunch of pink during my stay, including this fluttery little top from Club Monaco. Now, that I’m living in Charleston, I can’t wait for daily neighborhood walks!

I think I quite literally squealed when I first saw this top online. I just loved it! The thin tie straps felt very summery to me and I adored both the pattern and the fluttery bottom peplum finish. The colors felt very happy, which is always how I feel in the summer so I thought the top and I were a perfect match! Then, it was the best fit for all the pops of pink in Charleston! It is sold out not but still available (on sale!) in a dress. Club Monaco has released a few new silk camisoles for fall including this gorgeous fall floral print top, this navy top, this black top, and this blush top.

White jeans are such a staple… year around! Yup, I really standby this and wear white all the time after Labor Day and all through winter. White is just clean, which I think pairs nicely with a crisp fall day or a winter white day. My white jeans are from J.Crew and, I have to say, I’m just as obsessed with them today as the day I got them two years ago. No other white jeans fit me quite as well and the price point is unbeatable. Plus, they are currently on sale through today! A girlfriend of mine who is pretty tall has always been bummed that she couldn’t pull them off but she recently went for a pair in a tall size and was in love at first try on. They work for everyone! I also like them in the high-rise version, the distressed version, and the ecru white version (the color is a little creamier so looks great in the cold months!).
