I’ve been feeling extra in love with fall since November started. You might have noticed on my Instagram Story that I made pumpkin bread this past weekend and mulled apple cider. I also wore sweaters and loafers… so lovely. One of my favorite pieces to wear is my plaid blazer for fall. I love a lightweight layer like a blazer or a cardigan so it’s great to wear a plaid blazer because it gives a basic blazer a little more jazz.
Fall Must Have: Plaid Blazer
Blazer (sold out – similar) / Long Sleeve Tee / Jeans / Booties (similar for less) / Hair Bow
I shared 5 fall trends I’m wearing this season and by golly, one of them is velvet. The velvet hair bow I’m wearing in this outfit (boy did I need my roots done!) and the velvet bow on this blazer give me such a smile. Velvet always feels like something extra special. You might remember that I wore a velvet jacket on my recent date night with Edwin… that’s how much I love it! Currently, I’ve got my eye on some velvet mules (pink too!) and velvet booties.
My exact blazer is sold out but this plaid blazer is super similar. I also found a few other fall blazers in the same color palette as my blazer right here (click through because a few come in multiple colors other than what’s shown):
Booties or boots?
I’ll never be able to really pick one or the other because there’s a perfect time for each. I snagged these suede booties back in July in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and am so glad I did! They are already sold out at Nordstrom but I found them available in all sizes still here and here. I’m also dying over this almost identical gorgeous pair of booties for much less.
Charleston has been magical this fall. One day it will be in the 60s (my favorite days) and the next day it will be 78 degrees. It’s a bit of a mind trip but means we can be outside everyday. We are especially love our new bikes that Allison and Tim got us as a wedding present! Charleston we love you!
