Spring weather should be the perfect balance of warm sunshiney days and cool mornings and nights so finding the perfect spring sweater is important. I’m delighted to declare that, last week, I found the perfect spring sweater! While Sarah was in Charleston, we did a tiny bit of window shopping and we popped into J.Crew because, #jcrewalways. This blush pink rollneck sweater (on sale!), immediately caught my eye and I knew I had to have it… keep reading to learn why this sweater is such a knockout + a special 20% off discount code for R&R readers!
Sweater (on sale! comes in 4 colors & in stripes) / Jeans (on sale!) / Scarf (sold out – similar, similar, similar) / Loafers (old – similar, similar) / Sunglasses (similar for less) / Turkish Towel (20% off with code JILLIAN20 at checkout)
I loved the blush pink color of the sweater right away but I really fell for it when I realized it is part of J.Crew’s recent revival of classic pieces they’ve made from the past (this sweater is originally from 1988, aka before I was born!). This sweater is also the perfect weight for spring. Since we’ve been in California, we’ve had some warm sundress days and some sweater weather days. On the sweater weather days, this sweater has saved me! It also comes in four colors as well as in stripes and is on sale! Can’t beat that!
It’s been awhile since I’ve worn boyfriend jeans on Rhyme & Reason. I often reach for skinny jeans but that doesn’t mean I don’t love a good pair of boyfriend jeans. These boyfriend jeans are so comfortable that I swear I could sleep in them. If you go back and forth between two sizes in denim, then I suggest going with the smaller of the two as boyfriend jeans naturally wear a bit looser. Last month, I shared a guide to styling white jeans and said that every closet needs a pair of skinny jeans, straight leg jeans, and boyfriend jeans. Well, you’re in luck as these jeans also come in white!
My girlfriend Liz sells the most adorable turkish towels out of her Charleston shop, Cannonborough Collective. I’d been eyeing them for awhile and our trip to California finally sparked me to pick up two to bring along. I, of course, got one blue and one pink! I also love this pink turkish towel and this green turkish towel. The blue turkish towel kept me warm and cozy on a sunset beach walk Edwin and I took in Del Mar. Liz has been so kind and is giving Rhyme & Reason readers 20% off her turkish towels with code JILLIAN20. Just pick your color and then enter the discount code at checkout!
My scarf is sadly sold out because it’s so cute! It is half blue and white stripes and half floral print. If you like the look of tying the scarf in your hair, then you’ll love this matching floral print hair bow. If you like the look of tying the scarf around your wrist (or onto a purse), then you’ll love these two super similar blue and white stripe scarves from MDS Stripes: one, two. As far as my loafers go, they are from last year but I rounded up some similar styles for you:

I saw this sweater in the new releases and loved it immediately as well. Does it run TTS? I’m always concerned about length because I’m tall, but I end up ‘swimming’ in a M.
Also, kind of bummed that the sweater is excluded from promo codes. :\
Cute photos!
Hi Catherine! Thanks so much! It’s such a cute sweater! Yes, it does run true to size. 🙂 I’m 5’4″ and I usually wear a small or an extra small depending on fit (I don’t love tight fitting sweaters) and in this sweater I have a size XS. I hope that helps! I know, me too… I didn’t realize it was excluded from the current sale when I wrote this post… I need to change what I said 🙁 Thanks for reading! XO
You are looking so pretty in this casual and sporty outfit! I love your sweater. 🙂

Thanks so much Natali! It’s the easiest look to throw on 🙂 You’d love the sweater as well… such a winner in my book! XO
Such a cute spring look! I have been searching for a blush sweater and this one just might be the winner!

Oh yay, I’m so happy to have helped in your search! It’s really comfy too and a nice weight for spring and summer evenings (if you live/travel anywhere where it really cools down!). XO
It looks like a warm but light type of sweater. It is indeed perfect for spring. I just love it’s color and although it is simple, it still has it’s own character.

Thanks so much Katya! I agree, it’s definitely a simple wardrobe basic but still has a lot of character! xx
