Pastel Workout Wear for Spring

filed under:

I haven’t shared workout wear on Rhyme & Reason since last summer as part of my mini Wedding Body series so I thought it was high time I shared again. The truth is, sometimes it can be hard to get motivated to exercise. I find that one of the best ways to get excited about working out is by scooping up a new outfit or two. Enter: my pastel workout wear for spring…

I wear so so so much black when working out that I find myself really wanting a fresh change every once in a while. Last summer, I was feeling just that way when I bought these pastel color block pants and soft yellow tank top from Outdoor Voices. They were my first pieces from outdoor voices and I was super excited to try the brand as so many of my best friends from college rave about the brand. I must say, I love the pieces I got! My pastel workout pants are such a fun addition to my workout wear drawer that I rounded up a bunch of similar styles for you here (be sure to click through because each comes in a few colors):

You might remember seeing me wear this outfit on my Instagram Story on my bachelorette in Jackson Hole last August… my friend Marissa shared a snap! I bought the outfit for my bachelorette because I knew we were going to be super active and hiking etc. It was perfect for the occasion and I still wear the pants and top a ton.

If you usually go back and forth between two sizes depending on fit, then I recommend ordering these pants in the larger of the two sizes (ex: if you are generally a small or a medium, then order the medium). The top fit me totally true to size. I like both fitted and loose workout tops depending on the exercise and the day so I love the boxy, slightly cropped fit of this top. I’m also wearing this cropped sports bra under my workout top. It’s great because it can be worn as a sports bra or as a top.

Edwin calls these tennis shoes my moon shoes but I love them! Nothing like a fresh white pair of Nikes to get you ready to break a sweat. I shared a few more tennis shoes I love below but my staples always remain the Pegasus and the Frees (more sizes here).
