Anyone in my immediate family will tell you that Christmas cards are one of my favorite little joys in life! I absolutely love them. Mark my words, not a year will go by that Edwin and I won’t do them! My parents always send out a Christmas or a New Years card as do so many of our family friends and extended family. It’s so fun to check the mail at the end of the day and open up all the holiday cards that arrived during the day. It’s such a special way to see families evolve, kids grow up, and to keep up with loved ones at such a magical time of year.
Last year, Edwin and I got married and sent out our first Christmas card, which was so fun and special. I’ll always cherish that card as our first Christmas card and as the card of our wedding year! This year’s card is also a heartfelt one for me because it includes our sweet pup, Maybelle.
This year, we snapped our Christmas card with my lovely friend Hannah! She is the sweetest person and such a talented photographer so it was a joy to be in front of the camera with her. Edwin is used to his place behind the camera but, when Hannah’s shooting, he’s happy to smile for the camera! She did such a beautiful job so this post is a mix of photos from our shoot and photos of me assembling our Christmas cards for the mail!
Minted
For our first card last year, I turned to Minted because I always love the Minted cards we receive in the mail from other people. It is so incredibly easy to design your card on Minted that it was a no brainer to use Minted again this year! The amount of holiday card designs is endless from Christmas cards to Hanukkah cards to New Years cards to general holiday cards. I actually find that to be the only tricky part of the whole process, not because it is difficult to navigate but because there are so many beautiful designs to choose from. Once you pick your design, you can personalize your layouts, fonts, colors, text, envelopes, envelope linings, and more.
In all honesty, probably the main reason I love designing our card with Minted is because of the addressing capabilities. If you’re like me, then you are beyond busy this time of year. When I do have downtime, I just want to be snuggled by the Christmas tree playing cards with Edwin or watching Christmas movies with Maybelle. I don’t want to be getting hand cramps addressing 200 Christmas cards with outgoing and return addresses. With Minted, you can upload an Excel sheet with all your addresses… we just used our wedding invite list so it was beyond simple!
P.S. I’m wearing this lovely floral dress!
It’s such a pretty print and it has the nicest shape… it flutters when you walk! Don’t forget, y’all know how I love a fall/winter floral! I paired it with these heeled sandals, which are some of my most comfortable and stable heels.
Are you sending out a holiday card this year!?
I love to hear about what people put into their cards so feel free to share! Honestly, I cannot recommend Minted enough for holiday cards! I say this with such enthusiasm because it’s true! I hope you love our card! xx

Love these photos and that dress! I love sending holiday cards (and of course receiving and hanging them up on display for everyone to check out when they visit).
Yes, me too! I love displaying them!! I’m so glad you loved our card! Thank you for your sweet comment! XO
Your cards are so cute! I keep saying that I am going to start sending out a holiday card and I never do. Hopefully next year with a baby arriving I will actually send them out!
