Last week, I was in New York for Fashion Week! It was my first Fashion Week and it was honestly such a blast! The experience can be very hectic and a bit stressful at times but overall it is sooooo much fun! I went with my best friend, which made the whole trip that much better! I caught up with all my friends who live in New York, met some amazing bloggers, shot a few outfits, attended a handful of Fashion Week shows, tried some new restaurants (Jeffery’s Grocery and Margaux), and drank a couple glasses of rosé. I want to go back to Fashion Week in February! Here is my New York Fashion Week Recap:
I stayed with my best friend, Allison of LaurenConrad.com, at The Empire Hotel. We loved our stay! Our room was big with two full beds, a desk area, and a sitting area. Our beds were so comfy that we cuddled up in the hotel robes and indulged in some good old fashion breakfast in bed! Our room felt very New York with pops of leopard decor against pretty skyline views. I’m counting down until I can stay at The Empire again.
A summertime trip to New York City isn’t complete without sunset rooftop drinks.
New York City = the city that never sleeps when going out on the town with these two gals – Allison & Olivia.
I brunched (avocado toast + shrimp & grits, yum!) at one of my favorite little restaurants in Chelsea, The Tipsy Parson. The decor is so fun!
An afternoon of beachy + western inspiration at the Mara Hoffman show.
Before running to a show, I met some girlfriends for coffee at my West Village favorite spot, Chalait. I wore a leather midi skirt, black strappy heels (under $100 option), tortoise sunnies (only $24!), Nars ‘Quito’ lip gloss, and a leopard clutch for a little pop.
While waiting to head into the Rachel Zoe presentation, we had to snap a photo of our accidental all black and white coordinated outfits (see my outfit details under the above photo).
I swooned over the bohemian 70s looks at the Rachel Zoe presentation. The fringe on this jacket is perfection!
One of my favorite parts of Fashion Week was catching up with some of my favorite blogger babes! It was so fun seeing Lauren Nelson again after this summer. Sunglasses = similar ($24), similar (classic), similar (mirrored).
The rooftop fun continued at the Hotel Americano roof for the RewardStyle Fashion Week party for bloggers.
I was transported to the tropics at the Tommy Hilfger runway show. Oh, and Gigi Hadid is my idol after watching her lead a bevy of models down a lagoon-inspired runway.
I wore a Rebecca Taylor dress, Gucci purse (similar for WAY cheaper), Celine sunglasses (similar), and Rag & Bone booties (similar for WAY cheaper) while bopping around town with A Dash of Details. So far, this dress is my favorite addition to my closet for fall and I can’t tell you how many compliments I received on it.
I stopped into Saturdays to pick up a little something for my boyfriend, Edwin, to bring back to Los Angeles with me.
Another look at what I wore during Fashion Week:
XOXO, have a fabulous week!
I am DYING to try Tipsy Parson!! What a fun few days in NYC!
XOXO
You have to try it Sarah! It’s soooooo yummy! XO, Jillian
