Let me start my New York Fashion Week recap by declaring that I never want to miss a February Fashion Week, it’s too amazing. I returned home from NYFW a week ago and I’ve wished I could go back ever since (remember when I went to NYFW in September?!). It’s such a special time to be in New York City because the whole city is buzzing and the street style truly is a sight to see. It was also exciting to be in New York for Valentine’s Day even though my Valentine, Edwin, was across the country. My best friend, Allison, and I traveled to New York together and stayed at The Dream Downtown, which was a wildly fun hotel to stay at and it was situated in the perfect location. During Fashion Week, I went to the Kate Spade, Rebecca Minkoff, Tibi, Mara Hoffman, and Rachel Zoe shows and presentations. I had a few delicious meals at Café SFA, Tacombi, Jack’s Wife Freda, Flex Mussels, Buvette, Morandi, and Rosemary’s. I also met my girlfriend Kristen for drinks at Bar Sardine and some family for wine at Sant Ambroeus. I really tried to do it all!
Views from the Top of the Rock (aka top of the Rockefeller Center).
The Kate Spade Presentation was held at The Rainbow Room. The collection was gorgeously reminiscent of a New York City jazz girl about town.
It was zero degrees one day so I was constantly popping into different stores to window shop and warm up. The Ralph Lauren Madison Avenue store is drop dead gorgeous. When can I move in?
Backstage at Tibi before the ultra chic runway show.
Gloomy lighting before snow fell on The Carlyle Hotel. This hotel is my favorite, quintessential NYC spot.
The Mara Hoffman presentation was a (bohemian) showstopper.
Drybar made my Fashion Week hair dreams come true with this braid crown.
I had a little fun goofing around with a few models at the Rachel Zoe presentation.
My New York City matchbox collection is coming along nicely.
Allison and I had the most successful and laugh-out-loud fun time in NYC at Fashion Week!
I had the worst travel experience home and then went straight into work BUT Virgin America gave everyone on our flight a travel voucher… NYC, I’ll be seeing you soon then.
My NYC Packing Guide can be seen here + here’s another look at what I wore to NYFW:
That’s a wrap on my New York Fashion Week recap. Wishing I was still in New York! XO
Looks like such a fun trip! I always love seeing photos from the Kate Spade shows, they are so cute!
