I mentioned in this white on white post that I love a fresh neutral color palette for January. Well, now January is almost over but I’m still all about neutrals for the new year. There’s just something about the soft, soothing colors that promote a clear mind and positive spirit! I’ve been wearing variations of this outfit nonstop this month. So I thought it was only fitting to share it on the blog!
Top / Jeans (also in blue jean and black) / Laptop Case (can be monogrammed!) / Scarf (last seen here, also comes in eggshell, similar for less) / Loafers (old – similar) / Coat (old – similar, similar) / Earrings
I’ve had my eye on this top for months and months. I finally pulled the trigger because I just knew it was such a classic silk top that would never go out of style. My mom has it too so that also convinced me! It’s been available for the longest time so I was so sad to find it sold out when writing this post. I will keep y’all updated though because I know it will be restocked! In the meantime, Cuyana (who makes my silk ruffle top) has a handful of other gorgeous silk tops including this cami (I have it in black and love it), this bow blouse, this tee, and this scoop tank. All of them are perfect with simple jeans, elevated pants, and skirts. I also wear my cami under lace tops that are see-through.
I’ve mentioned before that I got this blush pebbled leather laptop case for Christmas… I had no idea how much I needed it/would love it until I got it! I haven’t had a laptop case since college (no idea why!). This one is so buttery and pretty. Since getting it, it’s come on two trips with me and around town in Charleston when I work on Rhyme & Reason outside the house. The laptop case comes in 5 colors and a iPad version too. Best part… they can all be monogrammed! Speaking of traveling with my laptop case, I never travel anywhere without my trusty cosmetic bags either (I have them in the ‘Pearl Grey’ color)!
My button-up white jeans are finally back in stock! They came out around the holidays last year and haven’t been rereleased since. Which made me so sad because I love them! I’m happy to report that they were rereleased with a bang because they also came out in black and in blue jean here, and here. The high-waisted button-up style is without a doubt my current favorite! Although, these white jeans are also an all-time classic.
The charm on my necklace was a Christmas present from my parents from the company CharmCo. It’s a charm with the calendar for the month of October 2017 on it. It then has a tiny diamond on our wedding day, the 28th! On the back, it’s engraved with “Jillian + Edwin Charleston, SC.”. I’m so in love with it and plan to wear the charm on necklaces like here and on bracelets as well. One day, I’d love to give it to a daughter!

Thanks so much Natali! It’s my favorite look right now! xx
I need more lightweight sleeveless grown up blouses like that. I feel like I’m going clubbing in spaghetti straps, but it’s so hot down here you can’t wear much else! I’m going to check out this line. And that is such a good idea for that necklace. It would make a great family tradition! Buy one for your daughter(s), and pass yours down later on. Love it!

Hahaha I know what you mean! Yes, they make the best silk blouses! I think you’ll be really happy with them when you check them out! Yes, I love the idea of making it a tradition and of passing the charm down to a daughter… smiling just thinking about it! XO
