It’s the new year so it’s time for a fresh look. I love starting the new year with a great, big, deep closet clean out. While I’ll still wear my plaids and bolder colors (like reds and greens) from the fall and the holidays, I’m really gravitating toward winter whites, blues, and more soft pastel colors for the rest of winter and the new year. I’ve done a bit of shopping to pick up a few last pieces for January and February before springtime comes (p.s. I’m shopping the huge Club Monaco sale!). This outfit fits my current mood perfectly with the burst of winter white and blue stripes on the navy and white turtleneck sweater (on sale!). I also really love the hints of gold (clutch, similar heels) in this outfit carrying over from the holidays because they are keeping me in a festive spirit through Valentine’s Day!
I love this navy and white turtleneck (on sale!) because, even though it’s a turtleneck, I think it can be worn year-round. The turtleneck makes it very appropriate for the winter while the blue and white stripes make it very appropriate for summer. I’m planning to spend a little time this coming summer on the beach in New England so this sweater will keep me extra cozy on cool summer nights.
I really can’t get enough of fun pops of fur this winter. I wore this fur stole last in this bow sweater outfit post and I wore it all through Christmastime. I’m planning to bring it with me on a trip to New York City this February too! I scooped up this little fur number at the end of last winter season so the exact one isn’t available anymore but I found a handful of very similar ones that I linked below. Aren’t these two lookalike fur stoles (one, two) such beauties?!
I completed this outfit with fun pops of gold and a pair of flirty earrings. I got these earrings years and years ago (maybe 6 or 7 years?) at Anthropologie so I’ve been thrilled to see the look come back in style. This pair of dangle earrings is almost identical. These gold heels are so clutch… you have no idea how often I have an outfit together but no shoes! Gold works with everything so they complement my outfits year-round. I linked a bunch of other gold shoe options below and since my Loeffler Randall gold pumps are old I found these three super similar options: similiar, similar, similar. This little gold clutch is just too cute. I think it would be a fun travel bag to carry inside of a big purse or even a little makeup bag for weekend getaways. Of course, it’s perfect as a clutch too! It also comes in a medium size, a small size, and a coin purse.
