My Favorite Brands For Spring and Summer Part 1

1. Johanna Ortiz

Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz made a name for herself with her lively prints and sophisticated silhouettes that portray the barefoot glamour of a beachside soirée. Every time I see a new collection from her come out, I dream of somewhere I’d love to travel to wear her designs. The dress I’m wearing in this post is Johanna Ortiz. So it’s even possible to rock her cutouts with a bump!

2. Borgo De Nor

Borgo De Nor designers, Carmen Borgonovo and Joana de Noronha, set out to create a line that celebrates empowering women who dress for themselves and live life fully as their own muses. Inspired by their rich backgrounds in El Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, Miami, and Portugal, they design romantic silhouettes in vibrant colors, bespoke prints, and luxe fabrics to add joyfulness to your wardrobe. I recently wore the most beautiful Borgo De Nor dress here. After wearing it, Over The Moon told me I could share a 15% off code, OTMBORGO15, with y’all to use this week. Totally not sponsored for me, just a lovely gesture from them!

3. Castañer

Spanish label, Castañer, has been a spring and summer favorite of mine for years. I love the quality of their shoes thanks to the traditional techniques they use when crafting their beautiful footwear. I’ve worn Castañer countless times on here. But most recently, I wore these gold platform sandals out and about (peak at me getting ready here). I love them to wear always but, the statement block heel, makes them comfortable enough to wear even when pregnant (or for hours when not pregnant).

4. Cara Cara

Two years ago, at Molly Fienning’s house, I had the pleasure of hearing the founders of Cara Cara speak about how their brand was born. I was already a fan of the brand they built but I loved hearing about their story, drive, and creativity. They created their line as an expression of vibrancy and joy in order to bring pleasure to every day moments for the women who wear their designs. I can say firsthand that they have accomplished this. Just last weekend, I wore an easy breezy gorgeous green Cara Cara dress to a teddy bear picnic in the park with Rowan. It was a sweet little Sunday out with my big boy. The dress made me feel fantastic (even when 37 weeks pregnant!).

5. Poolside

Designed for the woman who is always thinking about her next vacation, Ashleigh Stone’s beach bag label became an overnight hit after she launched it in 2016 thanks to inspiration she gathered on a trip to St. Barths. Poolside is an admiral brand too as it partners with over 250 female artisans around the world to make their unique handwoven products. I also love that the brand offers made-to-order, personalized options like the monogrammed purse and the purses with catchy phrases seen below. This personalized Poolside tote that I have is a favorite! I can’t believe how little my boys are in that video!

6. ALÉMAIS

Alémias can literally do no wrong. If you love a bold, flashy print, then this is your brand! Designed in Australia, the consciously crafted brand creates the most stunning contemporary pieces in imaginative patterns. And all while supporting artisans communities around the world. I just wore Alémais last week here, here, and here, but have worn the brand countless times around these parts. Like last summer at the best summer party and two years ago in Palm Beach!

7. Loretta Caponi

Loretta Caponi is an Italian heritage brand that has been designing hand embroidered clothing and household linens in Florence since the 1960s. Everything is completely lovely, feminine, and gorgeous. You’ve seen me wear the brand’s designs before. But these snaps always get me because Henry was so fresh and little!

8. Agua by Agua Bendita

This brand is founded by two creative mothers from Columbia. Agua by Agua Bendita is a brand to love inspired by Latin America’s enchanting biodiversity and rich culture. It really isn’t a warm weather wardrobe without some Agua sprinkled in! They have come to epitomize the season in my mind. I’ve never not been obsessed with something I’ve bought by Agua by Agua Benditaa!

9. Ciao Lucia

Ciao Lucia is a Los Angeles-based brand inspired by nostalgia for the 1960s and the girl on eternal vacation. Everything the brand designs is meant to be easy to throw in a suitcase and go. As the brand says, “we envision our customer at a beautiful seaside hotel, lounging by the water, taking long afternoon strolls, and having lengthy dinners with friends. We are inspired by clothes that make a person feel good in them.” Aka, my kind of spring and summer clothing! I also love this brand because in our world where everything has gotten so expensive, this brand is still at an approachable price point.

10. Emporio Sirenuse

Similar to the way wearing Agua by Agua Bendita makes you want to transport yourself to South America, wearing Emporio Sirenuse will make you dream of transporting yourself to Italy. Imbued with Mediterranean vibes, vibrant colors, and rich patterns, the light summery pieces from the brand will give you “a confident sashay from beach to bar,” says the brand’s founder. I have to say that I agree! The brand is part of the world famous family-run Positano hotel, Le Sirenuse. You’re probably going to want to drop everything to call my sister to book this hotel. 🙂

11. Asha

I’m going against the grain here but Asha jewelry isn’t really what I gravitate toward. With that being said, I feel the complete opposite about the clothing from Asha! I love that the brand embraces the effortless joy of dressing in the spring and summer with their dresses, kaftans, and pareos. They offer breezy and chic options for beachside lounging or poolside glamour. I can’t get enough! My favorite Asha pareo seen on me here on Harbour Island.

12. Fanm Mon

Fanm Mon founder Sophie Demirtas, explained how she named her widely successful brand as “in Haitian, Fanm Mon translates to a woman who creates beauty from her surroundings,” as explained by founder Sophie Demirtas (the brand is an ode to the Sophie’s Haitian heritage). The brand is defined by its delightful colors, unique motifs, gorgeous silhouettes, and extraordinary craftsmanship. The colors and floral motifs always scream spring and summer to me! I have a few Fanm Mon pieces. I love these snaps of me with my boys last spring wearing Fanm Mon and these photos from Gasparilla Island.
