With Labor Day come and gone, I’m getting so so so excited for fall and cooler temps. I literally live in jeans and flannels come October. I’m not quite ready to bust out my flannels, nor can I because it’s too stinking hot still, but I can start wearing cotton button-downs like this lightweight plaid top (on sale!). I like accomplishing the plaid look without the weight of a flannel in September and some of October (in Los Angeles). My lightweight plaid top is on sale for a great price to kickoff your fall shopping!
I kept the look even more summer friendly by wearing my lightweight plaid top unbuttoned. I love this super soft gray tee so any excuse to wear it is great with me.
I’m majorly still into the neck scarf/bandana look. You saw me interpret the trend in a super summery look by the water here and I wore this particular red bandana last weekend in Dallas (it’s only $12!). I’m going to be wearing neck scarves all the way up until I have to start layering with warm blanket scarves. Even in the dead of winter though, I think a classic all black neck scarf would be a smart edition to any look.
I’m definitely a loafer girl. This particular pair is from Coach a few years ago but I linked a handful of similar loafers at the bottom of this post. Two of my favorites though would have to be this tie up pair and this simple pair.
My raw hem jeans were one of my best purchases this year! I’ve been living in them for months… remember this post? Here’s another great pair of raw hem jeans for less.
How amazing is this old home in Jackson Hole that I shot in front of!? The scenes from Jackson just don’t disappoint. My other two posts from Jackson Hole this summer are must reads too: florals and stripes.
J.Crew called this purse their new “it bag.” Well, I have to agree! It’s super simple with just a touch of color (I love the tassel!) and it’s the perfect size to hold all your daily necessities or everything you’d need for a night out. It also comes in a handful of colors and doesn’t break the bank.
I hope everyone is getting as in the mood for fall as I am! Someone yesterday told me that Starbucks already has all their pumpkin flavored drinks which I thought was a bit much… but also exciting!
Button-down (on sale!) / T-Shirt / Neck Scarf (comes in more colors) / Jeans (similar for less) / Purse / Loafers (old – similar, similar) / Earrings / Lip Gloss

Loving this look! It is still so hot in Canada, I can’t bring myself to pull out any fall themed items. I am hoping this heat wave cools off soon and I can start dressing for my favourite season! xx Rox-Anne, Celebratingthislife.ca
Don’t worry, it hasn’t cooled off that much in LA either! I can’t wait for it to though either!! Thanks for reading Roz-Anne!! XO, Jillian
