Hello and welcome back! I am thrilled to finally be back to blogging and to be here introducing JillianEversole.com. After I had our second son last April, I took a long unplanned pause from blogging. It was a huge transition to go from one child to two children and I decided to put everything else on the back burner in order to be ever-present for my boys and to not miss a moment of that special time. I’m tremendously fortunate to have been able to make this decision and to have held my littlest, Henry, in my arms all day, everyday. If I was given the opportunity to do it all over again, I would have done the exact same thing so I know in my heart I did the right thing for me.
When I look back on 2022, I feel tremendous amounts of joy but also exhaustion and stress. Now that I’ve done it twice, I feel like it really takes me a solid 8-12 months to get back to normalcy (although my sense of normalcy changes with each new member of our family) after having a baby. I currently feel that we are in a great spot. We started an amazing part-time nanny in December so I am finally getting some reliable breathing room in my life outside of motherhood. My little family is growing and my boys are doing so well! So, with Rowan turning 2.5 years-old this spring and Henry turning 9-months-old last week, I feel excited, motivated, inspired, and ready to return to my blog. It feels good!

Introducing JillianEversole.com
Recently, while on my blog-hiatus, I thought I should change my blog name. It felt like the perfect time. When I started my blog forever ago, I named it after two characters from my favorite childhood book, The Phantom Tollbooth. It was a sweet idea but didn’t really feel like a reflection of me anymore. It is never a bad idea to have a business name reflect one’s given name so here we are (this is especially true because my social media accounts have been my name for a while now). I also share so much more about my personal life and my family now than I did in the beginning so what better name for my blog than my own?
At this time, I opted for a blog name change but have decided to stick with my former site, colors, and branding. While I love the evolution of my blog name, I wasn’t ready to take the plunge on all the rest. It is a huge time and financial commitment to do an entire refresh and rebrand so I made the decision to do it sometime down the road when I can make it a priority. I will always be evolving so I know this blog will continue to naturally evolve in the future as well.

Thank you for standing by me as I navigate motherhood and grow my family.
As a mother, my days are filled with a million little miracles watching my boys grow, learn, explore, share, play, sing, giggle, dance, and crawl. They are and always will be my greatest contribution to this world but I do also feel like I have things to say and share on my own. I sincerely appreciate you continuing to return to my blog and reading along with me. I have a great mix of posts coming up including 3 winter cocktails to make this month, a fun way we keep our marriage strong, Henry’s baby announcements, a review of one of the most commented on items in our house, and more. We’re off to the races, introducing JillianEversole.com…!
