When I was teaching, one of my daily struggles was getting dressed for work. We were permitted to wear all pants expect for blue jeans so I had to think outside of the box a good bit when getting dresses during the colder months. I found a number of great pants to wear but then I also felt I had to search for work appropriate tops that paired nicely and appropriately. I taught second grade and kindergarten so I found many work appropriate tops to be too restrictive, polished, or tailored for the ins and outs of my day as an elementary school teacher. In that vein, I’m sharing how to dress comfortably for work when it’s cold outside in today’s post.

How to Dress Comfortably for Work
I recently shared a light blue Dudley Stephens fleece here and declared my love for the brand so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I scooped up a second navy fleece. I seriously wish I knew about this brand when I was teaching! The fleeces are so comfortable yet still chic enough to wear to work. I’ve been styling this fleece so many different ways but when I put this outfit together, I imagined it for teaching or as a great option for women who go to an office everyday for work. I find that I’m always freezing in offices too so the option of wearing a cute fleece is a no brainer to me! I truly can’t get over the adorable boatneck style either!
A super easy way to dress up any outfit is by throwing on or tying a scarf around your neck! In this case, I think the scarf elevates the whole outfit making the fleece look even more professional. This scarf is designed by my girlfriend, Julia, and I just love it! I wear it at least once a week because it is so easy to style. All I have to do it toss it around my neck and voilà!
