What can I say, I simply adore Henry’s birth announcements. I shared them on Instagram at the end of the summer but that was back when I had a hack go through the backend of my blog and while I was taking some time to just enjoy motherhood. Now, I want to give them their own spotlight on the blog too.
Rowan was born at the end of September so, that year, I did a combined Christmas card and baby announcement for Rowan and our family. As a new first time mother, I was in the weeds – designing two separate paper items in such a short time period felt like too much for me then. A two-in-one baby announcement and Christmas card was the perfect solution. Henry is my spring baby so, the time of year he was born combined with me not feeling the shock of first time motherhood allowed me to find a lot of joy in designing a standalone birth announcement for him. I am so glad I did because the little 4 x 6 ish rectangle of paper that is Henry’s baby announcement brings me unbridled joy.

Henry’s Birth Announcements with Dear Elouise
I designed Henry’s birth announcement with paper pro Dear Eloise. There are a lot of paper wizards out there but Dear Eloise serves up a particular kind of magic when it comes to creating paper that speaks to who you are as a person or a family and that serves as a memory keeper for a cherished moment in time. Birth announcements aren’t necessary in our day and age – we all announce the arrival of our sweet bundles of joy on Instagram anyway – but they serve as a beautiful way to mark an indescribable moment in time. A moment to remember, a moment of earth shattering boundless love.
As I mentioned, to bring my vision for Henry’s birth announcements to life, I worked with the incomparable Dear Elouise team. We landed on creating a gorgeous letterpress card for Henry’s arrival into the world. There is so much beauty in their letterpress printing method. I fell in love with the ‘Oscar’ card and opted for the 220lb paperweight, ‘Hydrangea’ and ‘Midnight’ ink colors, ‘Pearl White’ paper color, and a corresponding blue envelope. I love receiving a colorful envelope in the mail so a colored envelope is often my preference. Spare time is so fleeting when you have a baby on your hands so I chose to have Dear Eloise do all of my address and return address printing – game changer, life changer.

Dear Elouise Custom Cards
Dear Elouise has the capabilities to do fully custom cards but it was such a gift for me to design a semi-custom birth announcement with their team because it took a lot of the work off my plate at a time when I was admittedly quite busy with a newborn and a toddler. Working with the Dear Eloise team was a truly collaborative process that I enjoyed from start to finish. I have to say, they make it really easy, seamless, and enjoyable for clients. I honestly don’t have enough wonderful things to say about my experience working with Dear Eloise or with the finished project – it was just fantastic, hence the dedicated blog post.

For those of you who treasure paper as much as me, I know you will cherish any paper keepsake you design with Dear Eloise as much as I do. If you aren’t in the young family season of life, I wanted to mention that Dear Eloise creates paper for all of life’s beautiful occasions – holiday cards, wedding suites, showers, personal stationery, etc.
Thank you Dear Elouise team for helping me create such a perfect birth announcement for my Henry. To my boy, Joseph Henry Eversole: I love you with the biggest, grandest, fullest love. I’m your mother forever and our love is a great love.
Hi there!
I love your birth announcements! The hydrangea blue color and stamped border are beautifully simplistic and so precious!
I’m also a blogger, and I launched my fashion and lifestyle blog, Sea Of Style.com, a few years ago. I’m interested rebrand my blog, and I wondered how you went about rebranding your blog? I like the colors and graphic design elements of your blog, and I would like to achieve something similar. 🙂
Thank you!
Hi Seabrook! Thank you so much for your kind message! Congrats on your blog! I worked with Chloé Digital on my blog! I hope that helps 🙂
