Girlfriend Getaway at The Inns in Charleston

filed under:

TGIF! As I write this post, I’m reminiscing about last weekend when a few of my favorite friends flew to Charleston for a glorious girls weekend. I titled this post ‘Girlfriend Getaway at The Inns in Charleston’ even though it was technically a staycation for me because every other girl was from out of town. So, it really felt like a getaway! My girlfriends, Lauren, Ali, MackenzieCarly, and I planned to take a little trip together a year ago so it was a joy to have it all come together.

When we were deciding where to go, everyone kept coming back to Charleston (which, of course, made me happy!). I knew just the place for our stay, The Inns, and was so excited the whole weekend because it was the perfect place for us! It felt like we stayed in our own amazing house complete with a beautiful huge side porch. Heaven!

The Inns in Charleston

We picked The Inns over a traditional hotel because we all wanted to stay together instead of splitting up into separate rooms. We had three bedrooms, a kitchen area, a large living room, and a huge side porch so we were together the whole time… aka lots of time for girl chat! On the porch, we enjoyed coffee in the mornings and wine + cheese in the evenings. We’re clearly all huge Lake Pajama fans (and blue and white fans!) as seen in our cozy porch photo! Other than the porch, my favorite part of staying at The Inns was the mattresses. I’m sooooo picky with mattresses but these were just about as comfortable as can be! It made for a few incredible sleeps.

I would honestly recommend The Inns to anyone planning a trip to Charleston!

Our unit, (the upstairs unit at 154 Spring Street) was absolutely perfect for a girls weekend but would be also be great for couples traveling to Charleston. Pro tip: you could also rent out the whole house for a large family, a handful of couples, or a bachelorette! Being in downtown Charleston on Spring Street, we could walk to tons of restaurants and coffee shops and take short Uber rides to everywhere else. Did I mention the front door of our building was bright pink!?

Throughout our weekend stay at The Inns, we had a bunch of delicious meals at 167 Raw, Melfi’s, Trattoria Lucca, Basic Kitchen, and more. We also shopped along King Street (the new Lake Pajamas store, swoon!), went on long leisurely walks, and did a candle making class at Candlefish. There’s so much to do and see in Charleston that I wish the girls could have stayed for another week. In fact, I wish they lived here!
