My family heads to Jackson Hole, Wyoming the first week of August every year to visit my Grandfather. Tons of our extended family goes too so it is always one of my favorite weeks of the entire year. The weather in Jackson Hole in August is absolutely perfect so we always end up spending everyday outside hiking, fishing, rafting, bike riding, playing tennis, and more. We spend a great deal of time exploring Grand Teton National Park because it is truly so spectacular. Year after year, we always love doing our favorite activities in the park but we also love discovering new hikes and places to explore. Exploring Grand Teton National Park is a photographers dream too as it’s so breathtakingly beautiful and there are multiple well known spots to capture like Mormon Row as seen in this post. Keep reading for some of our favorite spots in the park!

Before I dive into my top recommendations for exploring Grand Teton National Park, I want to share a little bit about my outfit with y’all! First up, my earrings! My floral earrings are by new-to-me designer, Caitlin Elizabeth, and are simply stunning. They are so ladylike and I love that you can dress them up or dress them down. I also have my eye on this similar pair of earrings. If pink isn’t your color, don’t worry as she has tons of other color options (I love these and these for fall!) that are all an unbelievable price for such a beautiful statement earring.
P.S. use code RHYME15 to receive 15% 0ff your order from Caitlin Elizabeth 08/20 – 08/27!
Flowy Gingham Dress
I’m an easy sell when it comes to gingham. This dress is so comfortable that I keep finding myself wearing it + it’s under $60. I also adore these similar dresses: one, two, three, four. Gingham is a print I always gravitate toward this time of year specifically because it is so appropriate for both the end of summer and for the fall. I completed this outfit with one of my favorite accessories to wear, a wide brim felt hat (old – similar), and the comfiest booties I own (Joie makes the most comfortable shoes out there!).
Exploring Grand Teton National Park
There are so many things to do in Grand Teton Nation Park that you can never go wrong but here are some of our favorites:
– Eat:
Dornan’s Chuckwagon (we like Dornan’s Pizza too), The Dining Room at Jenny Lake Lodge, The Mural Room at Jackson Lake Lodge, and Blue Heron Lounge at Jackson Lake Lodge
– Hike:
Every single hike in the park is gorgeous but our most frequented hikes are the Phelps Lake Loop (we love to jump off the huge jumping rock!) and the hikes around Jenny Lake (we love seeing Hidden Falls!)
– Photography Spots:
Mormon Row (as seen in these photos), Oxbow Bend, Snake River Overlook (made famous by Ansel Adams), and Schwabacher’s Landing
– Other:
Summer after summer, we trade off doing other activities from fishing to kayaking to scenic and white water rafting to taking boats out on Jackson Lake. Surprisingly, we’ve never gone horseback riding in Grand Teton National Park but I sure would love to! P.S. you can also drive a 42 mile scenic loop of the park!
– Stay:
We always stay with my grandpa or rent in my grandpa’s neighborhood so we haven’t ever stayed in the park but I would love to one day. In addition to camping, there are four amazing lodges to stay at (be warned, they book pretty far out in advance so start thinking about next summer now!).

Such beautiful photos!! I just got back from Jackson Hole for my honeymoon. We used your recommendations (you emailed some a few months back ☺️) and had THE BEST time. We absolutely loved the Tetons! We hiked around Jenny Lake, moose lake trail, string lake, taggart, kayaked on Jenny Lake, etc. I couldn’t say enough nice things about the Tetons!
