With Easter being three weeks away, there is no time like the present to start ordering Easter baskets and items to fill the baskets with for your kiddos. This post is for all your mothers out there who need a few Easter basket ideas for kids or a little inspiration to get the ball rolling on the Easter gifts front. Don’t fret, three weeks is plenty of time to put together an adorable Easter basket! This post is also great if you’re an aunt, godparent, or someone else with a beloved little that isn’t your own. I always think it’s nice to throw in an Easter treat to your favorite little’s Easter basket. I’ve scoured the internet at all of my favorite spots and rounded up lots of fun, interactive, cute, cuddle-y, and sweet Easter basket ideas for kids.
I like to think of an Easter basket like a Christmas stocking! You can fill it with anything kids will love from sweet treats to meaningful mementos to playful toys to little chachkies. Think items like: bunny ears, craft supplies, board books, sidewalk chalk, stuffed animals, garden tools, bubbles, nail polish, lip balm, and so much more + I include lots of Easter outfit ideas for littles below too. Seeing kiddos light up when they dig through their Easter themed baskets gives me the same full heart as watching them open their stockings on Christmas morning.

What did the Easter bunny bring!? I also included a handful of Easter, bunny, and duck-themed books in this guide because the former teacher in me can’t help it! Since having Rowan, I’ve enjoyed rotating out his nursery library with different themed books depending on the time of year and the holidays we are celebrating. It also keeps reading to him fun and interesting for me. And I know he will love this as he grows up. I definitely recommend building a mini Easter book collection for your kiddos with some of the festive, happy, colorful books below!
All in all, I hope each one of you has a beautiful and blessed Easter this year with your families! This Easter is extra special for us as Easter Sunday is my due date for our second baby! Depending on how the next few weeks play out with my pregnancy, we are planning to celebrate Easter with my parents and brother at my parents’ house. We will surely be missing my sister and her fiancé as well as Edwin’s family in California. We consider ourselves very fortunate to be with lots of loved ones though for this spring holiday that I love so much!
My mom and I are planning a bright and colorful Easter table and working on our Easter brunch menu.
We might try out a new egg soufflé recipe. Wish us luck! I’m also planning to bake my favorite maple-sweetened banana muffins that is in my Easter dessert recipe post (linked below).
The forecast for Easter in Charleston is usually sunny and 70 degrees so brunch on the porch is just what the doctor orders! Do you have any beloved Easter recipes or traditions that make your holiday special? I would love to hear! Drop me a comment.
If you won’t be around littles this Easter, I still have some great Easter inspiration for you with my post on homemade Easter dessert recipes and my post on Easter tablescape ideas. Let’s turn it over to my Easter basket ideas for kids shall we…!
P.S. These photos are from last Easter, Rowan’s first Easter. Can you believe how much he has grown in a year? My heart is melting.
