I really love any excuse to get myself dressed up this time of year and to dress my children in their holiday best as well. I often opt for flowing pleats (as seen in this post), sparkly sequins, or yummy velvets in metallics or rich jewel tones like emerald green and beautiful burgundy – colors that resonate with the season’s opulence.
I gravitate toward dresses but, this season, I’m also loving the idea of pairing a sophisticated jumpsuit or a pair of party pants with statement accessories for a chic and modern twist. Elevate your look with metallic or embellished heels (feathers anyone?), and don’t forget a cozy faux fur stole (or muffler) or a tailored jacket or faux fur for those chilly winter nights. Whether it’s a glamorous office soirée or an intimate gathering with friends, the key is to strike the perfect balance between festive and elegant.
