As the holiday season is upon us, there’s an undeniable allure in embracing a dressed-up aesthetic that mirrors the festive cheer all around. It’s time to start thinking about dressed up holiday style. Nothing is making me happier right now than seeing the holiday party invitations roll in for both dressed up affairs for adults as well as cheery parties full of Santa sightings and merriments for my littles. I really love any excuse to get myself dressed up this time of year and to dress my children in their holiday best as well. Fanciful holiday parties call for ensembles that effortlessly blend glamour and comfort. I often opt for flowing pleats (as seen in this post), sparkly sequins, or yummy velvets in metallics or rich jewel tones like emerald green and beautiful burgundy – colors that resonate with the season’s opulence.
I gravitate toward dresses but, this season, I’m also loving the idea of pairing a sophisticated jumpsuit or a pair of party pants with statement accessories for a chic and modern twist. Elevate your look with metallic or embellished heels (feathers anyone?), and don’t forget a cozy faux fur stole (or muffler) or a tailored jacket or faux fur for those chilly winter nights. Whether it’s a glamorous office soirée or an intimate gathering with friends, the key is to strike the perfect balance between festive and elegant. Embrace the magic of the season by incorporating shimmering details, luxe fabrics, and a touch of playful sophistication into your holiday wardrobe, ensuring you shine just as bright as the festivities around you. I, for one, can’t wait for dressed up holiday style! Psst, I rounded up fall and winter date night style ideas too.
P.S. Have you seen a better holiday purse than this!? I’m just obsessing over it.
