Timo & Violet

Timo & Violet is a newer-to-me children’s discovery. The sweet brand designs bedding and bath linens for littles that honor the natural world around us with their whimsical nature-inspired prints and their sustainable practices. The brand’s patterns come from original artworks from women around the world, evoking different cultures and styles and inspiring a sense of joie de vivre. Rowan is snuggled up in Happy Monkey Crib Quilt in the photos in this blog post. He adores the “silly monkeys” (as he calls them) on the quilt. Which is exactly why I gravitated toward the print in the first place – I call Rowan my monkey all the time! P.S. You can personalize and monogram Timo & Violet products too, making the products even more special and great gifts.

When I posted the photos of Rowan cozied up in his Timo & Violet quilt, the brand offered me a 20% off code I could share with y’all – Jillian20. Use that to receive 20% off your order! (I am not being paid to share this code. It was just a genuine offer from the brand that I was genuinely happy to share).

Karen Adams Designs 2024 Desk Calendars

Karen Adams just released her 2024 desk calendars, making me realize just how quickly 2023 has flown by! The calendars are a best seller for her every single year. Each month features an original Karen Adams design that is printed and hand-finished in her studio. You can select the desk calendars with a beautiful gold or silver easel to showcase the month’s artwork on your desk, shelf, or counter. Or you can simply purchase the calendar cards without an easel if you already have one. These make a splendid gift for the woman who has everything and always has lovely special touches around her house.

Parterre Ornament Shop

Parterre made a splash last holiday season with the brand’s first ever holiday collection. But, I think, the founders, Julia and Hanna, outdid themselves with this year’s holiday collection! Each ornament is handmade and is more special, ethereal, unique, and precious than the last. When I say precious, I don’t mean in a little kid way. I mean that the ornaments quite literally look like precious heirloom keepsakes to cherish year after year and to pass down to the next generation. I ordered everyone in my family one of the monogramed ornaments (order now – they are going fast!) but the florals, fruits, shells, and bugs are all capturing my attention too. And how about those patchwork pajamas for littles? Does it get any better? They are currently in my cart… should I press purchase?!

Blue and White Done Right Coffee Table Book

Hello, hi! I’ve got the perfect holiday gift for your mother, mother-in-law, or aunt who you draw in your family’s secret Santa – Schumacher’s newest printing, a coffee table book titled Blue and White Done Right. The beautiful book explores the best of blue and white decorating while showcasing just how versatile the color combo can be. Blue and White Done Right is divided by style (charming, modern, boho, traditional, etc.). And also features a roundup of best-in-class products as well as a guide to iconic blue and white colors (from robin’s egg to sky, to cerulean and oyster, to alabaster to porcelain). I’m so intrigued by this last topic. This is a must-order to add to any coffee table book collection.

Matouk x Schumacher Aprons

The iconic Matouk Schumacher Collection, just added a bit of kitchen charm to its collection with the launch of aprons. Done in four different printed linens, the aprons make for a fantastic gift this holiday season for your leading lady who is happiest in the kitchen baking or cooking. Each apron is whimsical and fun but I’m partial to the green Granada Palm print apron.

Bubbles and Joy Bath Time

I love bath time with my boys! I simply adore seeing them squeaky clean after a bath but I also can’t get enough of watching the joy that bath time brings them. Some days call for quick bathes after a busy day as part of our bedtime routine. But, on other days, I make bath time a full activity in our day. My boys love it and sometimes I am just too tired to get organized to leave the house. Bubbles and Joy is a source I LOVE for keeping bath time creative and fun + a breeze for me (aka, three things I’m always looking for as a parent).

The brand designs bath boxes around different themes (dinosaurs, garden, trucks, farms, up in the sky, etc) full of unique bath play toys. My kids get overjoyed to open a box to see what bath fun awaits them! The brand also does subscriptions and sells one-off bath time fan-favorites. The bath boxes also make for incredible gifts for littles – unique but at a reasonable price point.

The Nat Note x Petite Peony Collection

Petite Peony designs the most adorable classic yet unique children’s clothing. They design their clothing sustainably and ethically with children in mind who like to run and play (aka my children!). I love that their clothing is high-quality and tailored yet also so playful. The brand just released their first ever design collaboration with one of my favorites, Natalie Steen of The Nat Note, and, to no one’s surprise, it is GOOD. The floral motif and the celestial motif along with the red corduroy in the collection caught my eye immediately. I adore the floral but, I have to say, that it is so refreshing to see a children’s collection where I like the boys print more! That magical star and moon designs (here and here) will be on my boys this holiday season!

Nordic Cooking Charleston Cooking Classes

I just discovered Nordic Cooking classes here in Charleston and am now dying to take one of Chef Louise’s cooking classes! Each month, Nordic Cooking releases a series of cooking classes that focus on local produce, new flavorful recipes, plant-based recipes, and gluten-free recipes. The classes are all seasonally timed too to coincide with things like Thanksgiving for this month of November. They take place around Charleston and sound like such a brilliantly wonderful, fun, and delicious activity to do with my girlfriends or with Edwin. I love discovering new-to-me creative locals. It is such a reminder of how vibrant our Charleston community is.

Jamie Beck x Margaux Shoe Collection

When two of my favorite creative people/brands merge, I’ve got my eyes all over it. Margaux, one of my favorite sources for chic, comfortable, and affordable shoes, recently tapped the ever-inspiring photographer and Francophile guru, Jamie Beck, to create “a limited-edition artistic shoe collaboration celebrating the beauty, grace, and resilience of women and nature.” The description of the capsule right there is beautiful. The collection consists of two shoe styles in order to echo the dichotomy of women – the feminine Mary Jane shoe and utilitarian Skater Boot. I’m partial to the Mary Jane. What about you?

Le Point Studio Christmas Canvases

Le Pointe Studio is one of my favorite destinations to shop for needlepoint canvases. I think the founder is so sweet and inspiring to follow along with on Instagram and she just became a first-time-mother, which makes me gravitate toward her and supporting her business even more. Le Point Studio’s new Christmas canvases were just released as part of her growing Christmas Village Collection – a bakery, a sleigh, and a peppermint house. The entire Christmas Collection is adorable that evokes an undeniably cheerful holiday spirit. I really love the wreaths.

I hope you enjoyed this installment of my Caught My Eye series. For more Caught My Eye posts, head here. I love sharing my discoveries with you!
