Caught My Eye No. 6

filed under:

Spring is such a wonderful season of growth, abundance, and new life. It feels like everyone is always inspired in the spring to create so it’s no wonder I am always discovering new brands, screenshooting new collaborations I see on Instagram, and girl crushing on so many different designers + makers this time of year. Everyone is inspired by returning to a life outdoors after the winter season and everyone is inspired by fresh colors, long lasting sunshine, and a new season of fashion. Perhaps that is why my Caught My Eye No.6 post is full of so many gorgeous and fun (!) collections to love.

Read on for a beautiful collection of scalloped hand-blown glassware, a new-ish online experience for discovering and shopping for art, new spring arrivals that call for al fresco entertaining, a refreshing take on blue and white dresses, the lip gloss I’ve quickly become a cult follower of, a stunning collection of relaxed feminine dresses + skirts + tops, and Easter surprise eggs for littles. Honestly, I can’t get enough of it all!

Estelle Colored Glass Sunday Collection

Have you seen the Sunday Collection from Estelle Colored Glass? I am a big lover of everything Stephanie has created in her gorgeous, colorful Estelle world. We love sipping from our Estelle wine glasses in our house. Also, the cake stands + glassware from Estelle are some of my most frequently given hostess gifts. I love seeing the creative ways business owners continue to evolve and that is exactly what I think Stephanie did with her beautiful new Sunday Collection. The collection is comprised of delicately scalloped, hand-blown highballs, lowballs, and vases in stunning pastels and jewel tones that celebrate the joy in gathering around the table for Sunday dinners with loved ones.

I absolutely love what Stephanie has to say about the inspiration behind the collection here. P.S. Stephanie was just on the Second Life Podcast with an amazing episode. She was both relatable and aspirational at the same time and I found that her wonderful personality and creative drive completely shone through.

Docent

I discovered DOCENT at the end of last year when I was invited to a cocktail party for DOCENT to learn about the business and to shop some art while holding a glass of bubbly in my hand. It was a marvelous introduction to DOCENT and a lovely way to discover new-to-me artists. The founder, Tessa, launched DOCENT after she started collecting art for her own home. She identified too many pain points with buying art and a lack of approachability to the whole experience. Tessa set out to improve, personalize, and simplify the experience of discovering and purchasing contemporary art while also providing real support and technology resources for emerging artists so they can thrive in the modern-day art world landscape. Tessa has such a beautiful philosophy around buying and selling art! I just love the contribution she is making to the art world.

The Docent Model

DOCENT has two main arms: 1) It serves as a shopping platform for artists to showcase their work and have it enjoyed by the world and 2) It offers art consultations for anyone who needs advice on purchasing art for their home, office, or what have you. Tessa is really working to revolutionizing the way we buy art and striving to make high quality, unique art works more accessible to everyone. She has such a discerning eye and a passion for the industry!

Berner & Co. Spring Arrivals

The Berner & Co. spring arrivals… what can I say? They are so good for these early warm months and gathering around the table (or the bar!) together al fresco for the first time this year. Goodbye winter, hello spring! A few of the new arrivals call for Easter while others make me want to scream “spring!” from the rooftops. Click through here to see the dreamy collection of new arrivals and see below for four of my favorite items.

01Gumdrop Vase and Candle Holder

This beauty doubles as a candle holder (and comes with a voice candle when you order it!) and a vase so you can truly use is all spring and summer long so bring a touch of whimsy into your home. I agree with the Berner & Co. team, I’m goo goo for this gumdrop vase and candle holder.

02Woven Scalloped Placemats

These woven scalloped placemats are fantastic everyday placemats that are both durable and chic. The colorful trim elevates the placemats from a basic ones to ones with a little more oomph. I’m hooked!

03Strawberry Napkin Ring

Strawberry season is HERE! I was just chatting with girlfriends this week about when we should take our littles strawberry picking so these strawberry napkin rings are calling my nae=me.

04Carved Floral Candles

Carved by hand in the city of Oaxaca, these floral taper candles are my new obsession. They are literally little works of art! Mix them in with floral arrangements down the middle of a table to create a lush and vibrant table setting or use them as a decorative object because sometimes candles are just too pretty to burn! They comes in 5 vibrant colors.

Molly Moorkamp Blue Lancaster Collection

Molly Moorkamp is such a great follow on Instagram. She is a witty, clever, smart, creative, sharp-shooter and I love her candor! She also gives the best details about her collections and is really dedicated to her shoppers. I admire her and the honest business she has built so much. When I saw her Blue Lancaster Collection, I gasped a little. It is such a gorgeous and fresh take on blue and white! The standout piece to me is the Lainey Dress… my goodness she is a beauty! I adore the silhouette. She’s the first brand new style of 2023 and the draped bodice, I mean, wow so good. Grab one of the dresses before the pre-sale closes out and we have to wait until May for the dresses to be released again.

RMS Beauty Liplights

RMS Beauty Liplights Cream Lip Gloss

Liplights is the newest product from clean beauty cult favorite, RMS Beauty. RMS has so many, quite honestly, sensational products that deserve all the fanfare and, I have to say, this newbie can join that list. I recently got it in the ‘Bisou’ shade and love the subtle hint of coral the shade brings to my lips. Liplights is a dewy cream lip gloss (I know the words cream and gloss don’t usually go hand-in-hand but this product aims to break that mold) that comes in an artist’s tube so you can squeeze out and use up every last drop of the product before recycling the tube. The tube – woof, I’m obsessed with the tube. It is sold out almost everywhere but I found it fully stocked in every color below.

03Campo Shirt

The prettiest blouse you ever did see. There’s something so romantic about this oversized and airy top. It’s not for everyone but I love to rock a top with voluminous proportions… The looks pairs fantastically with shorts or a wide leg pant.

04Market Dress

The Market Dress is part of Wiggy Kit’s core collection for good reason: she’s 100% linen, she’s done in a French country floral print this season, and she’s designed to take you from the market to dinner outside on the patio in the most seamless way possible. Can you spot the sweet ric-rac details?
