It’s been a while since I wrote a Caught My Eye post (literally one year to be exact) so it’s high time I write another now that I am back from my little blogging hiatus. My Caught My Eye No.5 post today is a roundup of recent finds and discoveries I’ve made that I wanted to share. They include a new must-have interiors book, a sun kissed swimwear collection for littles, new-to-me inspiration for cooking + the recipes to go with, an adorable brand new collection for newborns, the workout clothing line that is everywhere right now, a newly released pre-order for the biannual magazine I devour, the fruit and floral infused spring collection I’m swooning over, and dream-worthy Valentine’s pajamas. I hope this post serves as an introduction to something new for you. This post is full of love for small female-run businesses, my favorite. Enjoy!

Caught My Eye No.5
New Schumacher Coffee Table Book
Legendary design company, Schumacher, is giving us all the granny-chic goods with the upcoming release of their new coffee table book, Charm School: The Schumacher Guide to Traditional Decorating for Today. I, for one, can’t wait to pour over it. The sure-to-be-stunning book features more than 250 rooms by both contemporary and storied interior designers – Miles Redd, Celerie Kemble, Mario Buatta, and Sister Parish, to name a few. Each room featured in the book has a healthy dose of chintz, wicker, ruffles, and skirts with a nod to the past and an embrace of the future. I pre-ordered the book (set for release on March 8th). Did you?
Petite Plume Valentine’s Day Collection
Petite Plume pajamas manage to be both sophisticated and comfortable at the same time while done in classic silhouettes and the most luxurious cotton that gets better with each wash. Myself and my boys both have and love Petite Plume pajamas (we just need to get Edwin on board – he isn’t a big pajama guy). I honestly cherish my boys’ pairs, especially the monogrammed pairs they have. The brand’s Valentine’s collection for women, men, and children (all three are below) is precious and will also make you want to spend the whole month of February cozied up at home. I had the pleasure of meeting the founder of Petite Plume last spring and she is a truly sensational woman and business-owner (her previous career was in the CIA). She made me love the brand even more than I already did.
Lela Rose Spring 2023
Oh my heavens the Lela Rose Spring 2023 collection is totally and utterly beautiful and FUN. I am just dying over every piece. Edwin and I are going to the Gasparilla Inn this spring and so I really want to scoop up an item from the fruit and floral infused collection for our special trip. Each piece in the collection is more stunning than the last – this, this, and this, swoon. Lela herself has been an absolute ray of sunshine each time I’ve had the privilege of meeting her.
When I know the talent and founder behind a brand and happen to think they are wonderful, it always makes me love the brand that much more. Lela sets the bar high for everyone else. The photos at the top of this post are from last spring right after I had Henry – I’m wearing a Pearl by Lela Rose dress (sold out – similar) from an event Lela hosted in Charleston earlier that day. Such a lovely day! P.S. Mom, if you’re reading, this dress looks like you!
The Fanm Mon x Minnow Swim Collaboration
When I heard the minds of Fanm Mon and Minnow Swim were getting together to design a collection for littles and women, I knew it would be gorgeous. The limited edition collaboration brings together the beautiful, purposeful craftsmanship and artisanal details of Fanm Mon and the tried and true, gorgeous signature silhouettes of Minnow for a special collection of swimwear and clothing that your whole family will cherish.
I personally love Minnow for so many reasons but the incredibly reliable and high quality work of their pieces means that Rowan can wear his swimwear for a whole spring + summer season and it will still be in fantastic condition to pass down to Henry the following year. My friend, Morgan, the founder of Minnow, hit it out of the park yet again with this collection. I also got a stunning Fanm Mon dress last fall that I have been wearing once every few weeks – it is versatile and beautiful! So, I’m a big fan of both brands.
Recipes for a Month of Dinner with Let’s Love to Cook
I recently discovered Larson of Let’s Love to Cook and immediately fell for the whole premise behind Larson’s business, A Month of Dinner. She is a busy mother of two who loves to cook but realizes how challenging it can be to get a good meal on the table at the end of the day. She brilliantly realized that so many of us get caught thinking one of the following – “I don’t know what to make for dinner this week.” “I don’t have time to cook, let’s just pick something up.” “Groceries are so expensive.” “These recipes are so complicated!” – and she put herself on a mission to make healthy dinner easier for the average, every day cook.
Enter: her “A Month of Dinner” digital recipe booklets. They are 4 weeks of 4 dinner recipes and a sweet treat for a total of over 25 recipes per booklet. Each one comes with pre-made weekly grocery lists that are budget-friendly, a “pantry staples” list, weekly “plan ahead” tips to make the week of cooking easier and, of course, the recipes that use coordinated ingredients to save you money and recipes that can be easily adapted to be gluten-free or dairy-free. Is this not the greatest concept!? Her booklets are super affordable too.

Oso & Me’s Newborn Collection Launch
One of my and my boys most favorite children clothing lines, Oso & Me, just launched a newborn collection. It is utterly precious. The collection includes everything from the softest onesies to coziest little pant sets to effortless muslin jumpsuits to lux 100% organic cotton sheets to snuggly swaddles and blankets. Plus, everything can be monogrammed. The collection is paired down to the basics in classic colors and whimsical prints. Oh what fun!
In Kind’s No. 6 Pre-Order
I have loved devouring each issue of In Kind, the biannual magazine that describes itself as “focused on capturing the conversations modern women are having as they navigate motherhood, career, and personal style. It’s slow, conscious content dedicated to exploring the good life.” since I first read it last summer. The first volume I read was No. 4 and so many of the articles resonated with me and struck a real chord that I flew threw No. 5 when it was released this winter and gifted In Kind this past holiday season.
The mag just announced that you can pre-order No. 6 (which will be the volume for spring/summer 2023) now to ensure you get a copy the day it hits mailboxes and ensure you get the 6th edition before it sells out. I have a subscription so I can’t wait for it to arrive. It will be a great mail day!

Splits59 Activewear
I feel like I can’t turn a corner right now or open up my phone without seeing Splits59 Activewear. So I just ordered my first item from the brand I can’t wait to try it out. I ordered from the “Loren Seemless” collection of products because I keep seeing on Instagram from people I know/follow in different circles that it is so comfortable. Honestly, everything from the brand looks great. Designed in Los Angeles, the line is meant to be lived in by the modern woman who uses exercise to create a well balanced life… I like that philosophy! Have you tried Splits59? I’d love to hear your reviews!
Would love to know where your earrings are from!
Hi Jill! They are from last year from Mignonne Gavigan and sold out but here is a similar pair – https://bit.ly/40n0cge! I’ll update it in the post too!
