LC Lauren Conrad for Khol's Black Date Night Top

I love getting a little dressed up for date night in the fall and winter because, for some reason, I always feel like I can get a little fancier or at least mix a fancy-esque piece into my outfits. Every year, without fail, I also always find myself wearing a lot more black. So, this outfit is a look I definitely wear and adapt A LOT this time of year. When I saw this top at the LC Lauren Conrad Pop-Up Shop in LA a few weeks ago, I knew it would be the perfect black date night top. Guess what!? I was right!

This Tory Burch velvet jacket is about 6 years old but I’ve always loved velvet so I’ve never given up on it. I’ve been wearing the jacket all along but I must say that I’m quite excited to see velvet coming back in this year! Gigi New York makes the best bags and purses! They make so many purses that look like designer styles except they are way more reasonably priced (spoiler alert: they didn’t pay me to say that, it’s just true!). I snagged this clutch last fall because I’m always drawn to plum and burgundy colors this time of year. The tassel and the monogram make it complete! This clutch also comes in one size smaller too (one, two).

You can never go wrong with a pair of ankle strap heels. If you want the best investment ankle strap heels out there, then go for the Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudistsong’ ankle strap heels or the ‘Nudist’ ankle strap heels. If you aren’t ready to make that kind of leap with your pocketbook then these three options are wonderful alternatives: one, two, three.
