When we were in New England for our anniversary, we wanted to check off as many quintessential fall activities as possible! At the top of our list: apple picking in Vermont. We picked apples, snacked on delicious cinnamon cider donuts, sipped yummy apple cider, and picked out a few perfect pumpkins at Shelburne Orchards. It was a slam dunk!
Sweater / Corduroys (old – similar, similar, similar) / Purse (on sale! comes in 3 colors) / Tennis Shoes (come in 6 colors!)
I absolutely flipped when I saw this sweater!
I just love the classic, fall, school-girl vibe it gives off. I’ve been wearing it like crazy with corduroys (as seen here), jeans, and even skirts. The sweater is from Sézane, which should come as no surprise to those of you who read R&R frequently. I love Sézane and am especially always drawn to their fall and winter collections. This sweater is one of many that I’m swooning over this season. Below is a peak at a few other must-have Sézane sweaters (don’t miss these three that I absolutely love: one, two, three):
I’ve chatted with y’all a little bit about wanting to branch out in the pants department this fall/winter from jeans and so far I’ve been loving the results of my efforts! You might remember this outfit featuring these gorgeous dusty rose pants. Well, this post is continuing my pants-not-jeans movement because I’m wearing the cutest and most comfortable corduroys. My corduroys are two years old (last seen here and here) but I found y’all a bunch of other fabulous options below (including these three similar pairs: similar, similar, similar). Clearly, I think corduroys are a classic look since I’ve been wearing the same pair for a few years now! I’m really into the colored corduroy look that is so popular this season too!
Sézane sneakers
I was recently on a long search for a great pair of chic tennis shoes that weren’t as sporty as my Nikes and not as casual as my Converse but that also we’re super expensive. You’d be surprised how expensive tennis shoes can be, especially designer ones! I finally decided to give these Sézane sneakers a try. They were actually on my Christmas wish list last year but they didn’t end up under the tree so I’ve had them in the back of my mind for a while. I decided to get them in the nude color because I thought it was a beautiful year-round color but I love all six colors and materials they come in.
These tennis shoes were perfect for a full day of exploring Vermont that consisted to driving from Woodstock to Shelburne, having a beautiful outdoor picnic, apple picking, driving the Lincoln Gap (a must in the summer & fall!), and exploring Warren. They are so comfortable yet still chic!
P.S. I hope y’all are loving my fall New England posts as much as I’m loving putting them together!
I still have a few posts to come so stay tuned but, in the meantime, be sure you didn’t miss either of my two past posts: Fall Colors in Woodstock, Vermont and Our Trip to Vermont at the Woodstock & Resort. xx
