In today’s Wedding Wednesday post, I’m sharing a look at our wedding ceremony and reception spaces. Both spaces were at the same venue, the breathtaking Legare Waring House. I shared more about how we picked our venue in this feature but, today, I wanted to give y’all a glimpse at what the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception tent looked like because they were so beautifully done!
When we settled on Legare Waring House for our venue, we decided to do the whole wedding there from getting ready to the reception. I feel that God is present everywhere, especially at such a beautiful place. So it was an easy decision not to get married in a church. Our ceremony, under the large live oak tree, was more gorgeous and special than anything I could have anticipated!
Our cocktail hour got moved to under the avenue of oaks and under our tent due to the unforeseen crazy weather. It downpour for about an hour before our wedding. The open air cocktail hour space got soaked. Our wedding planners effortlessly changed up plans so everything went off without a hitch. I included a few photos of the cocktail hour space being setup before the rain arrived.
Every time I look at the photos of our reception tent I bust into happy tears! It was such a wonderful feeling to see all our planning come to life. Our wedding colors were green, blue, and white but those colors all came out in different ways. The florals were all white and green while the linens were all blue and white and the paper was a mix of all three colors. The bridesmaids all wore blue or green dresses as well! When I look at the tent, the blue and white really catches my eye but I adore the way the green really pops in the florals, the draping greenery, and the greenery adorned chandeliers.
I’ve said this before, but I really can’t say it enough… our wedding planners, Lindsey and Abby of A Charleston Bride, were so phenomenal and brought together every single vision my mom and I had better than we ever could have imagined! They also guided us toward the best team in the world including our super talented florist and photographer. P.S. this isn’t sponsored at all, just love them!
