Jackson Hole means everything to me and more! It is such a special, majestic place filled with so much character and natural beauty. In my opinion, visiting Grand Teton National Park needs to be on everyone’s life bucket list. My grandparents moved to Jackson Hole in 1991 so I’ve been going to Jackson all my life. Jackson Hole is a part of me and my experiences there have shaped me so much. Like everywhere, the town of Jackson has evolved and grown so much in the time I’ve been going there. In many ways, I miss the Jackson Hole of the nineties! However, nostalgia aside, there have been many new wonderful additions to the town with the change and growth. One such wonderful evolution has been the food scene and plethora of amazing dining experiences. Jackson Hole is quite the foodie town now!
P.S. Did you know that I have an entire travel guide dedicated to Jackson Hole? This blog post is a comprehensive roundup of where to eat in Jackson Hole and Jackson Teton Village (we spend much more time here than at the Snow King mountain) but my guide includes my recommendations on where to shop, stay, and explore too. I also dive into the best watering holes like the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, Stagecoach Bar, and the Silver Dollar Bar (all three are fantastic spots for live music!). If you’re interested in Jackson, then my travel guide is a must-read! I’m obviously biased but I think it’s the best guide for Jackson that I’ve ever come across or read.

30 Places to Eat In Jackson Hole
Snake River Grill
Arguably the most famous restaurant in Jackson Hole. The chef is amazing and the log cabin atmosphere is always vibrant and buzzing. I love to sit by the fire place for dinner and at the bar for drinks! Snake River Grill was the first real restaurant that put Jackson Hole on the map as a foodie mountain town! Try the elk tenderloin, pork shank, or the trout. This restaurant is pricier but worth it as it’s one of the best fine dining restaurants in Jackson.
Local
Eat at Local for a taste of Wyoming right on town square. The menu includes buffalo wellington and elk chop, yum! All the meat is locally ranched but, don’t worry, there are menu items for non-red meat eaters too. Another menu highlight is the delicious sides… think truffled mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, crispy brussel sprouts, sautéed wild mushrooms, and more! This is a great option for a nicer more expensive meal.
Teton Tiger
This restaurant is absolutely delicious! The menu at Teton Tiger is inspired Asian food that’s a mix of Thai, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Indian flavors. We always have a hard time ordering because we want everything! The atmosphere is a great casual vibe too right in the heart of town. Go with a group so you can try a bunch of different dishes! It is reasonable priced.
Nora’s Fish Creek Inn
So, Nora’s is a breakfast and lunch staple for my family (and dinner in the winter!). Nora’s is located in between Jackson Hole and Teton Village (the ski mountain). Back in the day, you mostly only saw locals at this cozy, casual, rustic spot. However, the cats out of the bag and travelers frequent it too now. The food is simple but so perfectly done that Nora’s is a James Beard award-winning restaurant!
Persephone
I love Persephone so so much! In the winter, this French meets mountain café is so cozy and the most inviting escape from the cold. In the summer, it is so wonderful to dine here outside on the terrace. The food is good enough to ring home about as absolutely every breakfast and lunch item is delicious and inventive! Coffee addicts will adore this place too. The baked goods are out of this world as well! I love the location in town as well as the location in Teton Pines. Over the years, I’ve always stopped in for a quick bite here too (you can sit down or grab and go).
Café Genevieve
Located inside a historic log cabin in downtown Jackson is the marvelous Café Genevieve. The menu is full of elevated and inspired home cooked American classics. The all day brunch menu is one of our favorites in town (think french toast, fried chicken and waffles, and grits with included eggs) but it’s also a great spot for lunch. The deck can’t be beat in the summertime either! Pro tip: get the pig candy, aka thick applewood smoked bacon, coated with a blend of sugars and spices and baked low-and-slow for the perfect bite.

The Handle Bar
I like popping into the Handle Bar for lunch on a ski day as it is right at the base of the mountain in Teton Village. They have great cocktails (lots of fun whiskey drinks and classic daytime drinks like Bloody Marys) and burgers! Don’t forget about the nachos either! It’s also a beautiful spot to sit outside in the summer while enjoying a locally sourced salad and delicious Moscow mule.
The Bird
Simply put, we love The Bird place. It’s a no frills laid-back spot that serves up a wide-range of burgers, steaks, wings, and sandwiches. I absolutely recommend eating at The Bird for Sunday brunch too! The restaurant has a large outdoor deck with sweeping views that can’t be beat in the summertime (they also have bottomless mimosas and bloodies at brunch). This is a great more affordable option.
Bin22
The Bin22 serves up the yummiest Italian and Spanish style small plates and tapas + it’s Jackson’s #1 wine bar! In addition to the restaurant, it’s a wine shop and a specialty grocer with delicious gourmet items. If you want to pick up wine and charcuterie items for a happy hour at home (instead of dining in), then this is your spot!
Trio
Next, Trio is one of my family’s go-to spots for dinner because of the ever changing seasonal menu. Owned and operated by two local chefs, Trio serve both seasonal and nightly specials in their open kitchen. The atmosphere is relaxed, which allows the food to speak for itself! P.S. Trio is famous for its blue cheese fondue served with waffle fries.
Wild Sage
The Wild Sage is a fabulous intimate restaurant located inside the Rusty Parrot Lodge. The menu consists of classic American fare that is completely inspired by local Wyoming flavors and ingredients including produce, game, meat, and fish. The restaurant has a super romantic feel thanks to the large fireplace, small dining room, and an extensive wine list. I really love it here in the winter!

The Blue Lion
This is quite simply a Jackson Hole institution. Nestled inside of a historic 1930s home, the Blue Lion serves up French inspired American food every night of the week. Most nights, they have an acoustic guitarist playing music too. In the summer, their lovely deck is not to be missed. My grandparents always loved this place since moving to Jackson so we’ve always loved it!
Mangy Moose
The famous Mangy Moose holds such a special place in my heart. It has been around since the 1960s serving up great burgers, nachos, steaks, trout, and more in the eclectic saloon style restaurant at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The stage lights up at night with great bluegrass and mountain music (among other genres), turning it into one of my best bars in town. We ski-in, ski-out dine here all the time!
Dornan’s
So, Dornan’s is open in the summer and fall for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a few different options including the Chuckwagon for casual outdoor bbq, the Pasta & Pizza company for salad + pasta + pizza, The Spur Bar for libations, The Trading Post/Deli for sandwiches (perfect to grab and take on a hike), a coffee cart, and an ice cream cart. The best part is that the whole Dornan’s area has some of the most stunning views of the Tetons in all of Jackson Hole. It’s super family-friendly too and has been around since 1948!
Orsetto
Orsetto serves up really delicious Italian dishes with an American flair. All their main courses are fabulous but it’s impossible to ignore the pastas here. The noddles are simply to die for! If you want Italian food in downtown Jackson, then go here!
Old Yellowstone Garage
If you are looking for Italian food in Teton Village, then this is one of two amazing options (see also Il Villaggio Osteria)! The menu at Old Yellowstone Garage is Italian comfort food with a modern twist that is great for lunch and dinner. Located in the Caldera House, the restaurant atmosphere has a Mid-Century modern feel with the mountains mixed in. This is a great option for an upscale ski-in and ski-out spot in the winter (although it’s always buzzing in the summer too)!
Il Villaggio Osteria
If you are looking for Italian food in Teton Village, then this is one of two amazing options (see also Old Yellowstone Garage)! I think the vibe of Il Villaggio Osteria is a bit more upscale of the two but it sets itself apart because of the Mediterranean influence on the Italian menu. I die for the bolognese and the thin wood-fired pizza crust!

Sudachi
Without a doubt, this is our most frequented sushi place in Jackson Hole. The menu at Sudachi celebrates Japanese food with the freshest fish in a super relaxed environment. We eat a lot of Wyoming fare when in town so it is nice to have this lighter option for dinner. I love their crispy rice tuna tartare! Note: Sudachi also has a great sister restaurant in downtown Jackson called Suda Izakaya.
King Sushi
King Sushi is located inside an old log cabin, which blends the authentic Japanese food with the vibe of the Jackson Hole mountains. We love sitting at the sushi bar inside this laid back spot when craving sushi in town.
Teton Thai
A delicious family-run business that has become a Jackson Hole staple on the food scene. Teton Thai serves authentic Thai food that is continually voted the best Thai food in Jackson. It is located in Teton Village by the ski mountain so it makes for yummy, hearty après ski food (great in the summer too, ha!).
Calico
If you’re on the hunt for a casual, friendly dinner spot in Jackson, then look no further than Calico. The restaurant has been going strong in Jackson since the 1960s with its American-Italian menu. It has a great outdoor dining porch and a large lawn next to it so it is a perfect spot for families. I have so many memories of eating here growing up and running around the lawn with my siblings and cousins before/after dinner. Calico has nice a central location between town and the ski mountain.

The Phoenix and The Dragon
An Asian inspired health-conscious restaurant that’s great for lunch, dinner, and take-out. My favorite time to eat at The Phoenix and The Dragon is at lunch for a delicious, flavorful lunch of spring rolls and a yummy bowl or build-your-own stir fry. They offer gluten-free and dairy-free options too.
Hatch
So, Hatch is a taqueria and margarita joint at its core. Their fresh modern taco menu goes hand-in-hand with their impressive selection of tequila and mezcal. It’s super casual and just what the doctor ordered when a Mexican food craving kicks in!
Picnic
The Picnic is Persephone’s sister restaurant. While I’m partial to Persephone, I do love Picnic a ton! It’s a casual breakfast, lunch, and pastry shop that serves up yummy toasts, bowls, sandwiches, and salads in addition to all their baked goods.
Piste Mountain Bistro
Now, Piste Mountain Bistro isn’t my favorite food in all of Jackson but I still recommend the restaurant because it does have one of my favorite views in Jackson. Piste Mountain Bistro is located at the top of the Bridger Gondola so the restaurant has sweeping views of the whole Jackson Valley. Definitely pop in if you’re skiing! You can also ride the gondola up in the summer for the restaurant.

Woven Leather Purse
The best all season purse = Dragon Diffusion hand-woven leather bags. The soft leather is high quality & wears beautifully with time for a classic look!

Jackson Drug and Soda Fountain
As kids, we loved sitting at the counter with our grandparents at the Jackson Drug Store. After decades in business, it sadly left town for a little while. However, it revamped and reopened so it is once again serving up burgers, fries, and shakes! You can still pick up basic drug store items as well. I recommend it for an easy meal with kids.
Healthy Being
Guys, Healthy Being is Jackson’s only organic vegetarian and plant-based café. I can tell you that I’m not a vegetarian and I absolutely love this place! They claim to provide food that makes you feel as good as it tastes and it’s completely true. Their healthy food is wonderful but I also go here all the time for their cold-pressed juices and smoothies. They have a huge lawn next door, which is the perfect place to sip a green juice on a summer afternoon.
Pearl Street Bagels
Every town needs an excellent bagel shop and this is Jackson’s! Pearl Street Bagels has two locations around town (one in downtown Jackson and one in Wilson) that locals flock to so I suggest you do too. Delicious!
Moo’s Gourmet Ice Cream
The yummiest of yummy ice cream shops! Moo’s serves up only all natural and organic ice creams and sorbets. I love some of their more local flavors like huckleberry!
Cowboy Coffee
For coffee, the Cowboy Coffee is the best quick coffee spot in town. Locals and tourists both frequent it for good reason! It’s right off the town square so it’s super convenient on a day spent enjoying town. P.S. their breakfast sandwiches are great too!
